Review Dat Dog - Lafayette

I'd give it more like a 4.5, the wait was kinda upsetting but I guess you can't rush good quality. The perfectly toasted bun is as important as the meat, both of which were delicious. The WTF fries were a satisfying side since we were super hungry. Really cute decor. Fair prices too. I'm excited to come back :)

If you know NOLA you know Dat Dog. And here in Latfayette you now get the same Dat Dog experience. Fun vibe and gourmet sausages. Be sure to get Lillith as your bartender/server as she is the best in the city. As for me, my favorite is the Guinness Dog with my second fave being the Duck Dog followed by just their standard beef hotdog topped however you wanna build it. Only item I ever had that I wish was better are the fries. When you offer some of the best quality sausages in the country with gourmet toppings, you really should have fresh cut fries. But hey, I will allow the fry blunder since this place really is a fun vibe with wonderful service staff. And the theme says it all, its all about dat dog. And dat exists here for sure.

Great place to eat a hot dog. Place is nice and colourful as you can see. Waiter were nice, offered us to taste the beer before ordering. Hot dogs were very good but be careful they can be spicy. Price was good. I recommend

First time here! Got the lazy river dog. Tastes awesome! Great colors make a vibrant atmosphere. Great service! While busy it would be on the noiser side.

A welcoming, open restaurant with plenty of personality and excellent customer service. The food is delicious and full of variety when it comes to meats and toppings. It’ll be hard for you to not find something that you’ll enjoy at this place. It is obviously more expensive than your traditional microwaveable dog, but you’ll definitely taste the difference in quality.

Dat Dog is has always been a great place to dine. The atmosphere and decor is welcoming, fun, and family friendly. The colors and theme is awesome! The food is awesome and one of a kind. This our go to spot in Lafayette for the best hot dogs with quality ingredients! Plus patrons can add on all of the extras as much as you like at no additional charge! Each time we visit when we travel through Louisiana, the food has always been spot on and never missed a beat! 5 out of 5 stars!

Vegan banger was awesome, with a tasty, crunchy mix of toppings, great, bold flavors, and a rich protein-full hot dog. The bread was ultra fresh and tasty, and the tots were crisp from the fryer. This is my third visit and the service is always excellent. There is free street parking out the front on Sundays. I can’t wait to be back at Dat Dog Lafayette!

Great hotdogs and friendly staff. Really cool place to visit. We had fun while we were there. It is pricey for a hotdog meal, but we enjoyed the visit.

Manager and employees are always friendly.. Clean and fun establishment. Went a couple of times during happy hour and it was family oriented and fun.. The food was good. MENU WAS COOL AND SNAZZY.. My son loved it.. I got the French fries both times. BUT, his food smelled good and the presentation looked great.. During Happy Hour games and trivia and stuff are played.. The hot dogs were also not a normal sized hot dog. They seemed to be grilled and they were huge.. Again, my don said they were delish..

A visit to this place that started with why not, ended up with all three of us being seriously impressed. Not only was the food really tasty and nicely portioned, but the variety of types of dogs, toppings, and options for both meat eaters and vegetarians was great. The prices were decent, the atmosphere was fun, and the service was absolutely excellent. Every one of the servers new the product back and forth, the manager was beyond pleasant, and no one left hungry at all. We will definitely be going back, probably for the Live Music tonight!

When i first looked at the menu and prices i honestly thought it was A little pricey for just a hot dog and some fries. After my first bite, i realized it was well worth it! The loaded fries are delish! The concoctions they have came up with put a whole new spin on a "hot dog" Would have never thought that a duck sausage in a bun with some jam would actually taste so good! The atmosphere is great! Very laid back

Love Dat Dog. They have really great selection of different hot dogs and beers. The beers are a little pricey, especially considering there are bars nearby that you can get the same beer for $1-$2 cheaper, but I don't really go there to drink. I go there for the damn good food. The venue is also really awesome and I hope they end up using it for a lot of different events. Looking forward to my next visit.

This was my first time at Dat Dog and I have to say I enjoyed my experience tremendously. I wanted to try something off of the vegetarian side and I was advised not to get a vegetarian dog but you get a vegetarian knockwurst which I did and it was absolutely delicious. They have a truly amazing menu with lots of tasty choices. The building itself is well lit with many interesting items on display around the bar and the tables. I suggest if you're looking for a fun supper or a crazy lunch you try out Dat Dog.
