Great place for catering or large orders needed last minute. It's nice to call in the morning and be able to pick it up by noon. Fajitas are tasty and great options. Delivery is also available with advanced notice.
Everything here has so much flavor! I always get a pork burrito and load it with all the goodies! Even the sauces are better than your average Mexican spot. Roll your own!
BURRITOS!!!!!!!. So first let me just say I love fast casual concepts. They are focused, affordable, let me refill my own drink, and are quick. This is by far my favorite burrito place. (over # chipotle, bullritos, taco bell, etc.)
Winning Combos for me:
Cayenne with pork with rice, no beans, corn, lettuce, cheese, tomato, sour cream, illegal sauce, cilantro ranch, japs, and queso.
Cayenne with chicken with rice, black beans, lettuce, cheese, tomato, sour cream, black olives, Southwest Caesar and queso.
Good but expensive. The food is good but I find that this restaurant is way overpriced for anyone who is trying to watch their spending habits. There are plenty of other places in Lafayette that you can go to find a better meal for the same price or cheaper. But besides the cost, the only other downside is that if you put too many cold items on your entrée, I find that your food is basically a cold to lukewarm temperature by the time you get the opportunity to sit down and eat it.
Izzo is one of our family's all time favorites!! We love Mexican food and the fact that u can put whatever you want on your burrito, nachos or quesadilla seems to satisfy our family perfectly
I finally made it to Izzo's and boy was it good! I had the Super Felony, which is more good than I needed. I didn't need to get the chips combo. I love all of the great options. I had the pork with black bean, Mexican rice, cheese, grilled onions and the southwest sauce. Wow! It was packed with flavor! Nice looking place and the "burrito artist" was very helpful being it was my first time. I will definitely go back to Izzo's!
I like the food..but damn 10 for one burrito with small Chips and dip...pricey...which is why I rarely go.

Great selections of fresh veggies and meats. Killer good queso. Friendly staff. Amazingly yummy tacos. Only gripe is they are a little too pricey and 1.25 for a scoop of guacamole?! Srsly?
Quite wonderful.. From the moment it opened, Izzo's has been one of my favorite restaurants in town. You can make your own burritos, and all of the ingredients are of high quality. The atmosphere is that of a college hangout place and I enjoy going back from time to time even though I am not at UL anymore. I recommend this place for anyone that's really hungry and craves a tasty burrito. My favorite thing on the menu is a chicken/steak combo spinach quesadilla with some of my other favorite ingredients. If you haven't eaten here yet, please do. It's sure to become one of your favorite places to eat in town.
I like the steak burrito bowl and happy hour is 5-7 for $2 beers. They have a wide selection of Mexican style beers and they have margaritas too!
I had the steak burrito bowl with ranch-cilantro dressing. An excellent selection. Very filling and fulfilling. Definately a place to try.
Izzo's addiction!. My hubby and I eat here almost weekly and are absolutely pleased 98% of the time. We have never waited to be served, and have rarely encountered an employee who wasn't friendly, fast, and an expert burrito-wrapper! We have recently become vegetarian, and Izzo's offers plenty of options to fill any veggie's belly (although I read here in another review that the sauteed veggies are not cooked separately from the meats?). I suggest the following fiber rich, dairy free meal I have come to love:
Super (medium) burrito on a whole wheat wrap
rice and black beans
sauteed onions and mushrooms ($1 extra)
pico de gallo
roasted corn
black olives
fresh cilantro
pickled jalapenos
red onion
lime juice
ancho bbq sauce
Hubby and I share a side of chips and salsa (I LOVE their salsa!) and we are usually groaning in overstuffed bliss in no time!
This is serious business. After going several times now I feel I must share how great this place is. It serves a great niche between low quality Taco Bell and a sit-down restaurant like Coyote Blues. If you go at lunch be prepared for lines out of the door. It does move fast, but you won't be able to find any seating. The fast casual dining atmosphere is what really sells this place. The atmosphere is like a Mexican version of Raising Cane's, if that makes any sense. I have tried the burritos on several occasions, but the quesadillas have won my heart. The burrito wrapper is cold which is not my preference, but the quesadillas get the cheese piled on and they are warm and crispy. The quality meat and toppings only add to the value. Great food, great price, relaxed atmosphere. I am sure it is not authentic, but it is delicious and that is what counts. :-D Yum!
YUM!. I have lived in Lafayette for a year now and this is the first time I tried this place. My co-workers had been their before and said it was really good, so I finally gave in and tried it. It reminds me of Chipotle's in a way, but I think I like Izzo's better. I ordered a chicken burrito with rice, pinto beans, chicken, romaine lettuce, red onions and sour cream. When I pulled it out of the bag, it was HUGE and this is the smallest burrito. I can't imagine what the bigger ones look like. LOL I am stuffed and still have more than half the burrito and chips and guacamole. For under 10.00 w/ a drink...not bad at all. I would definitely go back! If I had a camera w/ me, I'd take a pic. Next time for sure! :D

I went to this place today for the first time. My perception was that it was crowded and I didn't have high expectations of it. That all changed when I got to the counter to order such nice staff and everything was lean and fresh! The people were so nice and engaging! There was a huge selection of things to choose from in 5 steps. I ended up getting the spinach tortilla with ground beef and chicken, pico de gallo, like juice, refried beans, grilled onions, sour cream, and olives. SO AMAZING is my review of this place. It was so good! It's in an awkward location but the people and food make up for it. I highly recommend this place.
Way more than i'd expected. These things are huge... even the smaller one is an olympic feat! i love the shredded pork. its juicy and wrapped up with all the other goodness you can/t help but forget all your manners!
Great place. I have been a fan of Izzo's in Baton Rouge for years. The Lafayette store does not dissapoint. A few of the servers do give you a bit less than the Baton Rouge servers, but the food is every bit as tasty and fresh. What is important about Izzo's is to find the perfect combination of ingredients. When you do, it is really addicting. The only people who won't like this are people who don't like fresh well seasoned food. Your choices are wide, the quesadillas are big also and even the tacos will fill you up. My favorite burrito is the regular with beef, black beans, rice, onions, mushrooms, cheese, a little lettuce, pico, CORN and cilantro ranch dressing. I really don't want to know what the calorie count is.
Holy burrito Batman!!. Love this place. Ate at Izzo's at one of the Baton Rouge locations and the Lafayette location doesn't disappoint. If you haven't eaten for 7 days or are the dude on Man vs Food, try the illegal. I'll stick to the felony... the steak burrito is a must. Oh yeah, don't forget to get queso.
Good Food. Surprisingly this was a good experience! The food was good and tasty. I had the chicken burrito bowl which was full of flavor. I liked the fact you could get only what you wanted in your order! This is a good place to eat!
Great burrito experience!. I loved Izzos....Chipotle is still my love, but Izzos is a close second. A friend and I went..got a super chicken burrito and 2 drinks for about $13.00. They also serve beer!!!!!! The only thing I will change next time is getting extra meat in my burrito and getting it hot pressed...by the time we got home it was stone cold. The girl who fixed my burrito on the line was extremely nice...but the cashier was rude and seemed to be bothered that she had to wait on anyone.
Saw "illegal burrito" and had to see what was up. My friends and I walked in for lunch and the place was not busy, we were able to order out food quickly and they made it right in front of us. It's like a subway for burritos. They have a variety of food on their menu and they serve margaritas. FROZEN. The dining area is neat and cool to look around. Many funny writings on the walls. Overall, fantastic place with delicious food.

I think that this is a great place to eat. There are quite a few dairy-free options. They have large portions. They have extra-large portions. The prices were ok-ish. Overall I'd eat here again. It was clean which is always a plus.
2nd Izzo's I been to and the service was wonderful. The burrito came out just right the way I was hoping.
Delicious every time. Great customer service. 13$ for a burrito I can make 2 meals out of, I added extras like guac and mushroom. Very good price.

Very good burrito place. They have other options, but the burrito has options of bread and sauces that are really good. The staff was nice and helpful. The price is a little above average, so that's something that I would recommend trying to correct.
The food is great at Izzos many options of meats like chicken, pulled pork, steak. Different options in tortillas other than flour.The restaurant was clean some maintenance issues like the mens restroom door. If you swing open the door everyone in the restaurant can here it slam on the wall.Location is ok, it is easy to miss if you are going eastbound on Johnson due to the restaurant being in the corner, and the building close tothe road blocks it.
I like izzos they are good but if a customer is paying full price on a meal and they ask for warm chips make sure to give them what they request workers saying the machine is broken that makes the company look lazy it's all about customers making sure they are happy once paying some thing inside the store
Very large portion of food , prices are good.
I stopped in today for a couple street tacos. I had steak and it was delicious! The toppings were fresh and the tomatoes in the pico de gallo were nice and ripe (not pink and mushy like some places). The izzo’s team was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I was looking for a snack that wouldn’t break the bank, and for two loaded tacos, under $6–not bad at all.
