Stopped in for a late dinner with local friends on a recent visit to La Quinta. Overall a very good experience. Loved the atmosphere in the place, very good service and wine selection is quite nice. Our group of 4 tried 4 different entrees and a couple of salads, all of which were quite good. Friendly staff! My only complaint is that the place is very busy and as a result it was quite noisy. I would definitely return however!

Celebrated my mother’s 95th birthday - last minute reservation and we were graciously welcomed and attended to. Food was superb and enjoyed in a beautiful and comfortable setting. The care and attention given on this special occasion was beyond expectations. Much thanks!

We celebrated our 31 year anniversary here last night and it was fabulous, from start to finish! Very cozy, romantic atmosphere, excellent service, and the food! I had the fried scallops and hubby had the Dover sole, with chocolate bon bon for dessert. Our new favorite!

I call this place my favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant! Its a small, quiet, old school romantic and friendly place!
This visit, I was on my own, so I sat at the bar and ordered something different. From the appetizers section I had; Ceasor Salad, Shrimp Scampi and Veal Scaloppini. It ended up being too much since I thought it would be small plates - wrong!
The salad was very well presented and tasted great, the shrimp was pan-fried and very tender, served with a fantastic lemon butter and herbs sauce in a bowl. I found myself dipping my fresh bread into this since it was so good.The Veal Scaloppini that was to 'die for' ...thinly sliced well presented and very very good.
I always enjoy a glass of Bolla Chianti with dinner and finished up with their signature bread pudding for dessert.
The bartender was cordial and made my solo visit an enjoyable one.
Molto Bene' Chapellis - another great experience...as it should be!

The restaurant was well staffed and friendly environment. I ordered the Pettite Filet Mignon, it was cooked directly to my request. Enjoyed the dessert, New Cheesecake very tasty. Would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

What a hidden gem; this place proffers charm, service, and food quality. I've known about the restaurant like forever, but last night had the occasion to dine. The entire evening was paced at our table's pace, and nothing was rushed. It's not precocious at all, and definitely well polished. If you're visiting or a local, do get reservations as the dining room only can sit so many. You will be pleasantly amazed.

The food, wine, and staff were all first rate. The owner John, greeted us and made us feel welcome. This is among the best high end Italian resturants anywhere.

What an exceptional dining experience I had with my 12 yr. old daughter, and 14 yr. old son! Chapellis possesses a charm and character that is superseded by excellent and attentive staff, and great, and I mean GREAT, food. I am so glad I discovered this Gem in the Desert.

My friends and I had a great time at Chapellis. The service was wonderful. The food was absolutely amazing, the atmosphere is perfect to be able to visit during dinner. Thank you to John and his staff for a wonderful experience.
