I enjoy LG's for the quality of food they prepare
Our server, Victor, was attentive and courteous. Our meal was prepared quickly, and there was no delay between salad, entree, and dessert. A little more time between courses would have been nice, but it is a very busy place, and I can tell they want to be efficient. It is better than having to wait for the order. I do appreciate great service, and LG'S certainly gets an A!
I had a chopped salad with Hearts of Palm and a lemon dressing to start. It was a large salad for one person, and Victor offered to split it in two.
My 16 oz. ribeye was cooked to perfection at medium-rare with a Brandy Peppercorn sauce
The Smoked Gouda Scalloped Potatoes were so delicious! The sides are served family style, and I loved that because I kept going back for more! Also, the asparagus was grilled, and there was a generous amount for two.
I ordered a Cappuccino and also received a complimentary warm chocolate brownie dessert for my birthday. It was a perfect end to my Yum dinner.
I would recommend LG's for a delicious meal and great service. It may be a little loud if you are looking for a romantically quiet evening. But, I liked the vibe, and for me, it was a perfect birthday dinner.

I had a delicious "Very Berry Martini" followed by the Dry Aged Porterhouse and a variety of sides - the best of which was the Caesar Salad made at the table and the potatoes au gratin. Service was great - except for some small details. We waited a long time for food, and whenever they refilled our waters, they'd fill the cup with ice too. I didn't think much of it, but after the meal everyone else mentioned the annoyance, so t wasn't just me.

LG's never disappoints.
For years I have been a regular here because of the amazing food and drink selection.
The service is top notch.
From the second I pull up in my car, Jeremy is there with a smile on his face and parks my car right up infront.
When I walk in the restaurant I'm always immediately greeted by Alex the incredible sommelier who knows my taste to a tee.
And Daniel the bartender is so wonderful.
This trio sure knows how to treat you as if you just walked off the RED CARPET.
I absolutely love, love, love the traditional steakhouse ambiance and vibe.
I'm from Los Angeles so I'm pretty used to VIP treatment 🤭 but LG's takes the cake on this one.
Thank you

This was our first visit at this location, thoroughly enjoyed the detail service we received. Alex was amazing with his choices of red wine 🍷

Always a great experience at LG's. We always say we are going to split a steak, and we never do. We came home with lots of food. Next time!

Seriously the best steak I’ve ever had. Always cooked perfectly. My husband & I try to come for dinner once a year when we visit La Quinta. The service is always phenomenal and we love the atmosphere here. Drinks & food always come out quickly. A must visit when in La Quinta!

Upscale eatery, primarily steaks but also lots of other choices. My deep-fried calamari were too heavy on the breading but tasted fine. The surf and turf choice of two small filets mignon and four large fried shrimp were very tasty, with a bit too much butter residue for my taste swimming on the plate. My friend's boneless rib eye steak and baked potato were delicious, accirding to him. The Pinot Grigio was very palatable, and the waiter was very attentive to our needs. A lovely dining experience.

Great food, prices are not too high for a excellent steak. I really loved the customer service, Daniel served us well. Wouldn't think twice about coming back to this fine establishment.

LG's steakhouse in La Quinta, CA. is a top shelf restaurant. The food is fantastic, the service is amazing and the atmosphere is wonderful. Food prepared to your liking, variety of drink choices, and much more. This place is up there with Ruth's Chris, Flemings, etc.

If you want the best steak you'll ever have, go to LG's. My honey had the dry aged porterhouse and I had the filet and it was absolutely delicious!! My drink never ran dry and the service was impeccable. Well worth the money!

Glad to dine in this elegant restaurant. It was my first time here but my hubby has gone here several times. He speaks highly of this place and when we finally got a chance to come to Palm Springs, this was our first stop. We had their onion rings called "wagon wheels" for appetizers and they were great! The breading was rich with spices and we can't stop eating them. Then we had their greek and ceasars salad which were excellent. Finally, we had their garlic butter salmon and prime rib with peppercorn gravy both were absolutely delicious! The salmon was seared perfectly complemented with its sauce. The peppercorn gravy was the best partner for the prime rib! Service was also outstanding! Our server attended to out needs promptly. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Palm Springs.

Today's episode of #roadfill comes from LG's steakhouse in La Quinta, California. LG's is named for Leon Greenberg who opened up shop in the Palm Desert back in 1991 to cater to the local carnivores. Me being a particularly well developed meat eater, this was an easy choice to make for a spot for fine dining.
LG's has all the signs of a top restaurant. Valet parking, Massive entry doors that are opened for you when you arrive, a multi person hostess stand ready to seat you once you cross the threshold, large comfortable booths surrounded by warm decor, and white aproned attendees and black attired servers ready to cater to your whims. Each staff member tries to make contact and welcome you to their establishment. You just don't get this level of attention at Taco Bell.
A large drink menu, with literally hundreds of wines were on offer, however I lack the culture and the palate for wine. I would normally opt for a Coke, but this being a special night, a craft beer from Rogue brewery was the evening's choice: a fine hazelnut brown ale.
Fresh warm bread was served in a basket. The bread was 'meaty' in its own right unlike the crappy side rolls you get at the grocery store which you can lightly tap down into wafer thin flat pancakes.
One of the first things I spotted on the menu was Caesar salad prepared tableside. You know you're in a decent restaurant when Caesar salad is spelled right, and in a really good joint when they offer to prepare it fresh in front of you with all the raw ingredients.
I would start with that. My server Joanie was an expert in Caesar preparation and whipped together a magical blend of vinegar, cheese, Worcestershire, egg, anchovies and croutons to accompany the chopped romaine lettuce. It was a treat to watch and a bigger treat to indulge in.
Next was the main course which consisted of Prime Rib and a side of sautéed potatoes and caramelized onions. The prime rib looked great, bloody red and thick; not as thick as my beloved Owners Cut from Calgary's Smugglers' Inn, but a decent 16 oz. Some au jus waited nearby along with some fresh horseradish.
I carved in to the bounty of bloody beef as my mouth filled with the juices of anticipation. The first swallow was quite nice. Juicy and tender.
Slice number two dipped into my horseradish before arriving on my tongue and the heat and vapour of the HR burned my nasal passages. Yowza!! That horseradish was not for minors.
As I continued through the prime rib, I discovered a curious coincidence. As each slice was carved, the moat of juice that initially surrounded the meat was quickly being sopped back up by it. That's the tell tale sign that the meat is dry. Sure enough, as each subsequent bite went in my mouth, the chalkier the pieces became - taking longer to chew before they could be swallowed. I had to resort to the au jus to try to supplement my saliva to get everything down. It's really too bad as I thought their prime cuts would have been better than what I was having.
The potato and onion side was a healthy portion, but sadly was a bit on the bland side for taste. The potatoes were thick cut oval sections of spuds that were very filling and lacking in flavour. I barely touched the $10 side dish a result.
Service was great, and I felt well attended without being rushed. The Caesar salad was excellent, but sadly the almost. $50 main dish just didn't cut it. I was going to call LG over to talk to him about the sub-prime rib, but apparently he passed away in 2009. Maybe his other cuts of beef are a better option - since the dense spuds filled me up, an alternative steak option would have to wait til another time.
One fork up!

I Love this place, never disappointed. Excellent choice cuts of meat cooked to perfection. Gibson’s, Gallagher’s, Mastro’s etc all are good restaurants but LG has Bob Miller! Ask to be seated where Mr. Miller can take care of you! Your in for a real treat!

Had an awesome dining experience from the moment we walked in...our waiter Victor was the best. The meal fabulous. Ceasar salad made table side fresh. Steaks were huge and melt in your mouth tender. Definitely a thumbs up dining experience. Oh and dessert was divine.

Best place in town the lobster is to die for and a great wine selection

Not only is this my favorite steakhouse, it is my favorite restaurant. Tableside caesar salad is the best anywhere. Fantastic sourdough rolls. The best bone-in ribeye steak I have ever had. And desserts to die for. The restaurant in La Quinta is beautiful. Too bad the roof doesn't open any more. It was always special to sit indoors under an open sky on a warm night. My mouth waters thinking of LG's!

Fabulous food...great waitress...waiters that bring the food to your table are amazing!

Service and food were top shelf. Bone in rib eye doesn’t get any better anywhere!
Michael Stuerzenberger
My steak was overcooked. Waiter stopped to check if everything came out okay, which it did, but never checked back to see if it was satisfactory. Was not worth the prices.

We love everything about this place. Nothing was left to chance, especially the service. Our waiter, Joe was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. LG's knew what they were doing when they found him. Of course, our food was incredible.

My husband and i decided to celebrate our anniversary here because when we were dating we frequented LG's quite a bit. 12 yrs ago the service was impeccable as was the food. There was about 8 tables definitely not busy. The hostess was friendly, as we walked to our table a man mumbled hello. He did not look professional, he looked a bit sloppy. The service was mediocre, food still good. We usually celebrate all of our special days at Morton's and will continue too. They print out a special personalized menu with your name and congratulations for what your celebrating. They also take a picture of you to take with you. There have have been times we have gotten como dessert drinks or desserts. These are the little things that make you not regret forking over a few hundred dollars. LG's you better get on the ball, your Manager needs to visit the tables, say hello, check to see if your customers are happy. Taking a drink from the bar and going toward the kitchen isn't very professional.

When to LG's Prime Steakhouse to celebrate our 22 Anniversary. Our first time being there and we weren't disappointed our server was Armando he was very pleasant we felt very welcome. The food was delicious and wine selection was awesome. Definitely would go back.

By far one of the best or just simply put; The best steak I've ever had!
Kathy Hall-Zahniser
Great service from the time we walked in to the time we left. Would have gave it a 5 star, but the shrimp was way to salty for me to eat,
Lorna Lynch Willard
Amazing filet and wedge salad. We were there on restaurant week and ordered off of the special menu for that. They pour strong drinks so be careful, it sneaks up on you.

My husband and I ate at LG Prime Steakhouse in La Quinta, Ca for the first time on our 18th wedding anniversary on September 25, 2017. We have lived in this area for 11 1/2 years and we were never able to afford to eat at at this type of restaurant until this year. We were treated wonderfully from the moment we approached the front doors. The service was impeccable, the food was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious.
We will be back again. Hopefully it doesn't take us another 11 to 12 years.
Thank you for a memorable experience,
Debra and James Funk
