Review Twin Lakes Resort Restaurant - La Pine

The New owner is doing a great job! Most of the staff is very helpful, especially the lady behind the counter at the store. Stephanie in the restaurant is one of the best waitresses I've ever had! Too bad she left before the season ended. The only thing they are missing is WiFi for customers... cell service is virtually non-existent up there...

Love this place! We drive out every year from our rental unit in Sunriver. Love the food in the restaurant and have a great time using rental kayaks and SUP. My grandson says this is more fun than flying somewhere for vacation.

We had such a great couple of down days @TwinLakesResort with our kids. We stayed in the big cabin right by the lake. Had a great time. John and Charlie were absolutely delightful. We will most assuredly be back!

After a few full days of camping nearby by our party decided to shower & get some food at the lodge. We had a great meal by the lake & enjoyed some cocktails. The food was delicious & will be back to enjoy another summer!

I call it “Zen” Lakes!! It’s my happy place!! The staff is amazing, and so are the views! The RV sites are spacious and well equipped. Love nature? Watch Osprey and Bald Eagles catch fish while deer wonder the trails. Grab your favorite paddle and throw a line in the water, or go for a hike around the lakes. Dramatic sunrises and sunsets are also in the menu. There really is something for everyone!

My most favorite escrow Officer and I took a day to celebrate the year so far up at the lake! We had an amazing lunch with great service from Jessica at the restaurant! Thank you for helping our day be so great! Burgers are great!

Fun time for a Saturday drive from Bend to 3 lakes, Twin Lakes we liked very much. A non motorized lake, you can rent boats, paddle boats, canoeing, kayaks or bring your own. Fishing, hiking just all around fun.

Very nice cozy little campground and basic general store and fishing supplies. They also have cabins for rent, paddle boats, canoes, floaties for rent. Campfire stories and of course... The lake. Set among the beautiful Deschutes national Forest.

Just stopped by while out for a drive. Beautiful lake and mountain setting. Looks like it would be a fun place to stay. Cabins, small store, restaurant and boat rentals.

This place is gorgeous, it has tons of character, and the staff is A+. We had an excellent weekend here. We stayed in the RV campground which was great because full hook ups mean there are no generators running. The campground is extremely clean and well-maintained, with clean bathrooms. It was great. The restaurant was also very good. We had an excellent supper here and are looking forward to going back.

We ate here and at Sunriver Brewing. This hands down has way better food. The staff here is also so kind.

Fun daytrip experience for the kiddos! Definitely a ton of fish in this lake. Best caught with floating bait.

We have had lunches at Paulina Lake, Elk Lake, Crescent Lake and Cultus by far the lunch we had Twin Lakes was far superior to the others-5 stars

Great place to eat. Beautiful view of the lake from the restaurant. If you have time they have boats for rent. Keep an eye out for the bald eagles and osprey.

Twin Lakes is a special and magical place that I have been coming to for the past 25 years. I have many fond memories from over the years of fishing with my grandpa, catching crawdads with my grandma, riding my bike around the 1 mile lake trail with my cousins, and swimming in the warm lake water on hot summer days. Over the years I have camped in the campgrounds and stayed in the cabins. This year I booked a cabin for my wife, dog, and I in the 2nd week of June. When we arrived, there was a family next to us with an infant, who was crying pretty loud. After starting to unpack I decided to go see if any other cabin was available and when I asked the two women who run the store/restaurant they gave each other a look and through their nonverbal communication decided to upgrade us to one of the larger cabins that accommodates 10 people for FREE! I was incredibly thankful and very surprised they were willing to do this for us. Over the course of the weekend I had encounters with other members of their staff, who are all incredibly friendly and helpful. I read some of the other reviews online, which are negative and make the staff sound bad but this has never been my experience. During our stay I went fishing and caught some very large rainbow trout, we hiked around the lake with our dog every day, my wife and I enjoyed playing around in the water together, and we enjoyed a delicious prime rib dinner on Saturday night and All You Can Eat breakfast buffet on Sunday that was reasonably priced and delicious. Overall, we had a fun and relaxing time up there. I highly recommend Twin Lakes and feel it is as a must visit destination in the Cascade Lakes area.

This week was my first time at TLR. This resort has a ton of potential! Great location. Amazing trout fishing! Beautiful landscape.I have a 32 foot travel trailer and the full hookup rv spots were just the right depth for the truck and trailer both. I only have 3 suggestions... The RV spots are just dirt. This makes everything dusty. If all the rv spots and the drive through road were well graveled and maintained it would have been much much better. There is also plenty of room to widen some of the spots. Our spot was narrow and we could not fully put out our awning. The website and facebook page really needs photos of the rv spots so people can be prepared for the conditions. I asked multiple times for photos and never received any. The store has wifi but its not available to guests. I get that you are supposed to be cut off from all the internet and stuff but it is nice to have the access available if need be. Sometimes there are things you need to take care of even on vacation. Having to drive all the way into la pine for internet is kind of an unnecessary pain. Lastly, most resorts of this nature have a fish cleaning station available for guests. I dont recall seeing one. I had to process my fish at my rv site. It can be done but takes longer and is a messy clean up. All in all I would stay there again but will probably be more interested in a couple resorts that are just down the road that have all the above suggestions already in place. Great place to rent boats and fish.

A coin machine for the showers, and ATM, etc would be great. Mini sites for small group tent campers, and such but over all a great spot.

Of all the lakes in Central Oregon, Twin Lakes and Twin Lakes Resort are my favorite. So peaceful. It's so nice just to drive up there for a couple hours to unplug from the world, eat lunch or dinner and head home.

Great place for the family, staff is friendly and helpful. We stayed at one of the rv sites, the facilities were very clean and the sites were well laid out. We were very satisfied with our stay and hope to return soon.

It's a wonderful AND historically favorite destination fishing & camping resort whose guests long included US President Herbert Hoover and baseball great Ty Cobb ....a great place even for a day trip from much of Oregon.
