I am sad to report this great little restaurant is no more.😪 Our great friends Shirley and Chris Crowder have permanently closed and moved to be with family in South Carolina. We express our unending gratitude and love for their friendship and the "Love in the Pot" for 8 & 1/2 years. Best of luck in your new home and endeavors!! 💕💔💕

Just tried Mama’s for the first time…feeding a crew of contractors and our family. Amazing food. I can not say enough about how welcomed I was made to feel. We recently moved to Texas City and are always looking for new food experiences. Mama Frances WILL NOT disappoint. “Straight off the bat” I was offered a generous sample of seafood pasta. It was amazing. No pretenses. Just great cooking, righteous seasoning, great quality, and great portions. I need to get on a first-name basis, lol. Everyone who came in while I was there was called out by name…that’s what I love. That’s what want. And I WILL make it happen. 😉

There's only one choice in my mind for Catering and that's Mama Frances. They went above and beyond for My wedding. They opened the store on their day off. They cooked food fresh that morning for us. They brought all food to bolivar peninsula, serving plates, dining plates, drinks, napkins, and at the end they cleaned everything up. The food was phenomenal. I didn't have one guest including the kids not like the food. If you have a big event and need to cater there is only 1 choice.

We are here from Ohio ( my husband, Sam is working in the area) we stumbled across this little place and we are beyond grateful that we did. We eat there often. The food is made fresh and delicious. The service is amazing. Chris and Ms Shirley are outstanding people who treat you like family. We are so blessed to have found them and their amazing restaurant...much love to them 💕. A MUST try place..

Better than Simps! Would you believe me if I told you this place has been around for 4 years?! A group of my friends came in right when they were closing (didn't know the hours yet) and we were treated as if we were family. Momma Frances told us to come in and have a seat and be comfortable. The vibe in the place was extremely homey and it was so clean. I had oxtails, mac and cheese and yams. Good LAWD that was good food. Anybody with a brain should come eat here. I'll be back, they have earned my buisness for life. COME EAT HERE!!!!!!!
