I so wished they had tables to eat there. You get alot for the price. 4 beef ribs on the dinner plate! So good with out the sauce, you can taste the smoke on it. Good with the sauce too.

Now this hits the SPOT. Ignore people sayin bring your own sauce cause this is outdoor bbq taste like the chicken just came off the grill. I got mild sauce potato salad and greens. I don’t miss NC so much anymore and this Texas bbq lol! All a woopin 9.25 can’t get any better plus I got half pints of my side double sides for .25. Finger licking good and can EASILY FEED TWO PEOPLE... also I need to add that everyone that Comes in and out ain’t no stranger filled with the happiest people

Good food l got the pork rib daily special 3 ribs ,yams, collard greens. And a piece of corn bread. For $6.50. It was Delicious!! . This was my first time but definitely not my last . Awesome food and the owner was pleasant and the atmosphere was clean and comfy.

huge portions for the price! the very nice older man who took our order was manning the pit (possibly the owner?) as well. would definitely come back to support a local business.

Very good pork ribs, the yams are a sweet treat. The only complaint is the parking situation there is only about 7 spots for the lot.

Small hole in the wall place. No place to really even sit down, but the food is amazing!!! The owner is the cook and the server. He is a great man and he serves up some amazing soulful bbq food. We've moved away from the area, but make a stop in every possible chance we get.

Old school BBQ soul food coming out of this little place. No frills, no bs, just good old classic food. Made me very reminiscent of when I lived in Georgia and ate this food a few times a week. Wilbert might be one of the coolest guys in SD. Big woman in front of me pissed off for no reason messing with him and he gives it right back at her. He's funny as hell and gives this place a lot of charisma. Rib dinner plate for $9 is no joke. Half slab of ribs, 2 sides and corn bread. I couldn't finish. I got a hot link on the side and it was good. A little salty and wish there was more heat, but hit the spot. Ribs are good. These tasted salty too. Sauce is average. Need to try their hot bbq sauce next time. Collards are pretty good. This is one of the few places in So CA that know how to make them. Yams are the jam here. Best one's around. Sweeter than a bowl of peach cobbler. Cornbread kind of blew me away with the base of it. Can't figure out what they're doing to it, but I'm gonna find out. Wish they did catfish and black eye peas here. Don't expect to dine-in and bring cash. If you're a bbq snob that wants to talk about special rubs and injecting meats, this place ain't for you.

It's fantastic. Absolutely delicious. The beef, the pork, the greens, all the sides! Great taste, great servings. You should order to go. It is not a sit-in place.

Kim's is a small but very clean and friendly place to eat. He has seating but I like to get my barbecue and take it home where I can be messy. His barbecue is the best in the city. Go by and see him and tell em Gail sent you.

EXCELLENT! This is the BARBEQUE SPOT PERIOD. I eat there at least 1 or 2 a month some time more. But if you count my take home menu then its 4 times a month.

Great low key, moms and pops BBQ spot. Great food and the owner/cook Mr. Brewer has been in the community a long time. Great grassroots spot.
