I adore this quaint shop – every dish I've tried here has been delightful, and the service is impressively swift. The owner, who is exceptionally kind, guided me through the vegetarian options, which include Chile relleno, bean and cheese enchilada, potato tacos, and a veggie burrito.
For those with wheelchair accessibility concerns, it's worth noting that the shop is conveniently located near the train station, with no step up or down.

No frills no nonsense solid taqueria. Hearty portion at a great price, the owner operator was courteous and quick despite running grill and register. The sausage breakfast burrito was large and tasty, one of the most savory Ive ever had and naturally came with red/green sauce. I'm shocked something so solid and affordable could be walking distance to the stadium and convention center. Was so impressed I got the California burrito to go as well.

This meal was a tale of two tacos. The individual tacos we ordered were amazing, especially the shrimp taco. Topping it off with their salsa roja and salsa verde made it even better. The birria tacos, however, were basically the opposite and pretty disappointing. The overall dish just lacked any real flavor and was very dry, but I’m not sure if that was because it didn’t have any cheese or if the meat just turned out that way. Still a good spot to check out, but only for their normal tacos though.

This is a nice little " hole in the wall " Mexican restaurant that's conveniently located near Park Blvd and Island Av. They have the usual menu you would expect from a casual taco/burrito spot. I recommend the Carnitas Burrito. Prices are slightly higher than most places.

I keep missing out on shots of the food because I wolf it down so quick. I've been here twice. Had both pollo and carne asada burritos. Yum! The chips are authentic in house and the salsa in the squirt bottles are great too.
Just be nice and ask for the hot sauces. .
I'll try to remember a photo of the food before I eat it.. but it hits the spot!

California burritos and carne asada fries are always on point at a great price. Don’t mind the transients outside by the trolley station, unfortunately they come with the territory that is East Village

Tacos were amazing and for me, one was plenty with the rice and beans.
Only reason I give four stars is the rice and beans are nothing special..
It’s all about the tacos. I got chicken.. it was perfect.

Got the shrimp taco, grilled fish taco, and fried fish taco. All were absolutely delicious. Very reasonable prices and super friendly staff. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area!

Oh my Jesus. Their sausage breakfast burritos are sooo good. We’ve got people hooked as well. The red hot sauce is my fav. Green is amazing too. The price is fair. Don’t mind the crowd outside. They keep them out. It is a public train stop in a downtown setting after all.

I recently started frequenting this taco shop due to starting work in the area and I am very pleased with the service and taste. The guacamole is always fresh and their lemons almost seem specifically picked to give a tangy yet sweet taste. Last but not least the cashier with glasses has a very quaint demeanor and she remembers what you typically ask for when receiving your food i.e - lemons or salsa. Doing this makes me as a customer feel valued and appreciated. It is truly the small and simple things that leave the biggest impression. I recommend trying this place any chance you get. It is important to mention that there is a decent amount of houseless people outside, but do not worry they are people as well so try saying hello as you walk in to Azteca.
