I thought Island restaurant was pretty damn good! From there burgers & fries, to the wings and drinks the tastes across the board were all pretty consistent! I highly recommend giving this place a try if you've never been before! I will definitely be returning from time to time!

Good food and reasonable prices for fairly big portions. Most of our group split burgers and shared the nachos (also very tasty). Waiter was great but seemed a bit overwhelmed, he didn't fall behind but was literally running between tables.

A restaurant in the popular shopping area near the UCSD campus specializing in burgers. We ordered a tuna salad burger(White albacore tuna salad, cheddar, jack, lettuce, tomato, pickles & mayo), a Hula burger (Sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, swiss & mayo), and I ordered the Luau island tacos which the menu describes as (Two corn tortillas stuffed w/kalua pork, caramelized onions, teriyaki sauce & avocado salsa. Served w/a side of ranchero beans.)
I could only speak for the tacos but they were absolutely delicious. Was quite impressed with the kalua pork which was perfectly cooked and tender. The cartelized onions, teriyaki sauce, guacamole, plus a couple pieces of lettuce in a very thick corn tortilla which was able to hold up to all the liquid and meat. Surprisingly filling dish but easy to eat.
Service was pretty quick and servers were very friendly. Best part is the wait is quite low even during a peak time for dinner on Friday and they even take Triton Cash for students nearby.

I really enjoyed my burger on a lettuce wrap instead of a bun. The tea was organic (added bonus) and the fries bottomless. You can't ask for much more at a burger joint. Oh, my server Anissa was kind, generous, and had a welcoming attitude and smile.

My daughter and I ate here today ( La Jolla, CA location) minutes after they opened for the day. The wait staff was super nice and very energetic. Seemed to enjoy their work. The food was fresh and tasty. I had the chicken beach bowl and it was full of crisp broccoli and snow peas, pineapple chunks, chicken and brown rice. My daughter had a taco plate which included 2 tacos and black beans. YUMMY! The restaurant was clean, shiny and well taken care of. Plenty of parking available. Will be back!

We went with a party of 14 when they were very busy but you couldn't tell by how courteous and attentive our waiter was. He had our drinks out and was there to refill them constantly, he was very knowledgeable of the menu and as soon as he took our order the cooks had our food out all together and cooked perfectly to order. Highly recommended for a burger person looking for a burger twist.

Our server was great. Really friendly and attentive. They had a good beer selection and the burgers are really tasty. It was my first time eating there and will definitely be going in for a second.

Food was soooo good! I love their Wedge burger! The cheddar fries with ranch are sooooooooo good too. Not to mention, the awesome cool breeze smoothie and lava cake! good service as well :) I come here all the time because of the yummy food, and I hope other people will come here often too!

The first 100 people today get a complementary burger for their 35th year anniversary. The burger was good and the staff are friendly. I tried the Island Golden Ale and Kona Longboard Lager samples and ordered the Kilauea burger on a whole wheat bun with fries. The fries and burger are good.
