It’s a really good place to eat sushi. Is expensive but taste is awesome. Remember it’s a Peruvian fusion restaurant.
Is a big place with a terraza really nice decorated.
Recommend fries lucuma ice cream, it’s awesome.
Totally recommend to go once at week or month.

This was our first time to Higo Sushi and Peruvian. Our experience was outstanding to say the least. We arrived just after 5:30pm and were seated promptly outside in the patio area.
The hostess was extremely accommodating and set up two standing heaters next to our table since it was pretty chilly out. Shortly after we were greeted by the most friendly waitress that took our drink order. When she returned she immediately took our food order.
Service and food quality was nothing short of exceptional. The plating on all our orders looked great as well. You can tell the chef took time when it came to the presentation of the food.
All in all we were very pleased with our experience at Higo. We will definitely be coming back in the very near future!

After today's visit, raising the rating to 5 stars! Really, the best fish and flavoring... Yes, it's a bit more expensive. You get what you pay for. Will come here whenever we are in town and choosing Japanese food.
Very good sushi, especially the quality of the fishes and seafood -- yellowtail was the best I've had. Ama Ebi was really good (fresh and rightly fried head and body) -- amazing presentation (see photo). One can taste the Peruvian twist (I suppose) that was slightly different than authentic Japanese. But, all were good, including the uni. The ambiance and decoration were rather bland. Do expect a bit high pricing, the reason for 4 stars.

My dad recommended me to come to this restaurant as he use to make deliveries of fish products and knew the owner. The restaurant is very clean and has great customer service. They have a variety of choices for sushi or sashimi as well as creative and distinct hand and traditional rolls. My husband and I ordered a 6 piece Toro sashimi, Caterpillar Roll, Crunchy with crab roll, chicken teriyaki with mixed tempura combo, and a miso soup. To begin, the Toro sashimi was really really good. The texture and taste were delicious. The rolls were good however, there was something salty about the rolls. For one, the crunchy roll has small pieces of corn tortilla so perhaps that also gave it a salty taste. Both the crunchy roll and caterpillar roll had eel sauce, which I really like, and maybe the eel sauce was salty? I am not sure, but there was something salty in the rolls that didn’t quite make us enjoy them as we would have liked but we ate them all anyway. As for the chicken teriyaki it was good but the teriyaki sauce could have been much more flavorful. The mixed tempura was very good as well as the miso soup. Although, some of our items tasted salty, we would definitely return to dine here. Hopefully next time it’s not salty or maybe that’s part of their flavor!

Finally tried this place and I would definitely come back. The sushi I had tasted fresh. The rolls offered were unique. I ordered the ceviche and it was surprisingly enjoyable. It's definitely different and I would recommend trying it. The crispy rice sushi appetizers were great and filling. The spicy garlic edamame was flavorful. The service of this place was good and the waiters were always around & continued to check on us. The food came in a timely manner. We didn't have to wait long for our dishes to come.

It’s was a marvelous experience TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT. These guys are gonna blow up soon! The Peruvian fusion is the best idea ever. The entire menu we’ll make you crazy. The presentation looks beautiful and tasty. I wish I had more pictures of what I saw. The other dishes were at a fine dining restaurant level too! The service is great and very attentive staff onboard. They guide you through the menu and taste courses. Very clean and spacious for a small restaurant. You can make reservations or walk-in but I heard it gets very full. It’s in a shopping plaza and there’s lots of parking. Take a look at the menu. Follow me for more experiences!

Great food and amazing service. Went with a few colleagues and sat at the bar. We asked the sushi chef to take control and make some of the house specials. I only wish I can remember all the types of fish we were served but I can’t. Thank goodness I took pictures so I can just point to what I enjoyed and hope they can recreate it.

Hands down one of the better sushi places I've had in a very long time. I visit here regularly and have not been disappointed. Friendly staff, and the food seems to be very fresh.

Higo is my favorite sushi spot in La Habra! The variety is amazing and if someone in your group is not a fan of seafood, they can order Peruvian dishes instead. The fish is always fresh. We take out of town guests here and they are impressed as well!

I stop by for lunch. The sushi was excellent. I will be back to try more of the different variations of sushi. The service was great, the waiter brought the food promptly. I enjoyed the appetizers and chef specials. Great sushi rolls for every appetite.

High quality sushi, with really interesting fusion options! Would recommend Jumbo Hoccaido Scallops, Toro, and Tiradito Sampler
Will be coming back to try more rolls!

The food was so good and we were so hungry that I didn’t take that many pics.
Trust me: you want to get the 4-in-1!
Fast and friendly service. They accommodated us even though we came 30 min before closing.

Came here for the off menu item, not bad.. $40 for 4 each. That and assorted Sashimi, miso soup, and a few nigiri.

Extraordinary Japanese and Peruvian food, whether you like sushi or the typical skipped paruano or the rich fusion of both in special dishes. The taste of each unique dish, very well presented, adequate quantities and reasonable prices in the middle of an informal family atmosphere. Very good attention either at the bar or at the tables. I would only add a little variety in desserts, otherwise super recommended. Located on Whitier Blvd. in the city of La Habra next to Northgate.

Food was delicious. Something as simple as lightly fried onions on the animal style roll shows the amount of attention to quality of taste of each dish. Everyone should give this place a try at least once.

This place NEVER disappoints! We have been coming here every other week, sometimes every week, and we never leave disappointed. This time around we got the spicy lobster roll and the teriyaki salmon. I cannot wait to come back
