We stopped (twice) to purchase cinnamon rolls during a mother-daughter trip to the UP. My mom had these cinnamon rolls when she was growing up near Calumet, and she talked about how big they were! We were ecstatic to hear the bakery was still open, so we split a cinnamon roll and enjoyed coffee. The cinnamon roll was amazing, and my mom was so happy to relive a childhood memory. We had to stop a second time on our way home to purchase a few more to share with others back at home. I also had to get a strawberry rhubarb muffin, which was also amazing! I know people are disappointed the dining room is closed, but we were able to eat our warmed up cinnamon roll and enjoy coffee in the bakery area.
Unfortunately the restaurant is currently closed (hopefully temporary) due to staffing issues. But they have the baked goods available and a small gift shop. The cinnamon rolls were delicious (and huge!). I didn't try any of the other items, but everything looks amazing. Worth a quick stop to satisfy your sweet tooth.
The restaurant may not be serving meals currently but they are open! They still have their huge cinnamon rolls, pasties and other baked goods for sale. If your passing through L'anse please stop and support them. I'm seeing a cinnamon roll in your future 🔮
Best cinnamon rolls and muffins! The restaurant portion was closed during this visit, but it's more than worth your while to stop as the baked goods will not disappoint. The raspberry muffin was our favorite and the cinnamon rolls are huge and make for several delicious snacks. Definitely recommend!
Food and service are good. The sweet rolls are EXTREMELY sweet and big enough to feed four people. Stop here every year on my trip to the UP. If only I could find something this good in North Carolina.
Service was good and food came out very quickly. The cinnamon rolls were BIG and good; but they go a little tough from microwaving them. If they cut them in half, grilled them and then iced them before serving, you'd have something superior.

Tried the Jalapeño Burger 🍔 with a side of coleslaw and an order of their sweet potato fries.

Found the burger to be decent enough. It was quite a mess to eat, but sometimes that's a good thing.
The staff were super polite and attentive.
There was a little gift shop area filled with local products and merch.
I'll stop back and try something else.
My super favorite is the huge sweet rolls. Definitely get one to share.

Staff was tight due to Covid but our waitress was still attentive and our orders were correct. Seriously the BEST fried cod I have ever had! We did buy the famous cinnamon rolls to take on the go as well!

Such great service!! Absolutely so nice. If you want big portions, then anything on this menu will be a good choice. My cousin and I split a BLT with french fries. It is soooo yummy. We had to try their enormous cinnamon rolls that were so gooey, gooey and just melts in your mouth. We took half of it back to our motel room. A++++
