Love the chowder out there and the service was excellent. Only 2 issues with going there, 1 - they only had chowder and pasta, which were good BTW. 2 - it was a weekend so there’s always someone loud, drinking and watching sports, yelling at the game. Still is an excellent place for a bite.
I left Kodiak a few weeks ago and I already miss this place. I often ate lunch here. My favorite was the salmon pasta salad and salmon burger.

It's all been said before, so I will just say it's all true, the Rendezvous is a great place for food and drink. Also, a beer and fish tacos are where it's at! The burger was also done right, with a good toasted bun and fresh lettuce and tomato. The chowder rules, it's very unique and enjoyable.
Great local food/watering hole. The owner / manager is a local treasure! The other review has some Asian race baiting in it. Regular, decent bar food in what can only truly be described as a dive bar. Hot French fries & cold beer in a dark place. The bartender recommended the halibut sandwich & it was tasty but the burger itself was fairly soft and fell apart is I was eating it. Nonetheless, it had good flavor.
Yum yum and yum! Wow! Willy told us we needed to stop by and the place did not disappoint one bit! Must have is the Halibut Burger and definitely must have the biggest portion of their clam chowder you can handle because if you only have a little, you WILL want more! Best chowder ever!
I absolutely hate clam chowder. Most seafood really. For some reason though, I can't go there and not get the clam chowder. It is incredible. The atmosphere is great, I make a new friend everytime I go there. Seriously, it's almost weird. Suffice to say, I love this place.
The best clam chowder I have ever had. I wish they would ship it to me in Louisiana. The locals told us about this place. We were in alaska for 10 days and would go everyday if I could. Go and enjoy.
The best Clam Chowder I’ve had. Light, brothy and succulent! If you love a good BLT, this is your place. Really good food, cold beer and drinks. We make sure to hit the Vouz every time we are in Kodiak.
