This is a really good "hole in the wall" Chinese restaurant. They have been in the Norwood community since the 1980's and they have stayed open because their food is good! Their wonton soup is the best in Knoxville, hands down! Their prices are fair and the staff is nice. I love the interior of this place. It has the 80's feel to it, which is somewhat nostalgic for me. Try them out!

Food is good, but some of the delicacies representative of Chinese food are absent, or not characteristic. For example, the attached "Won-Ton" was a minimal effort and unseasoned. I would recommend it for casual Chinese at a good price, but if you want to explore the cuisine closer to an authentic experience, I would suggest Asia Kitchen (with Sunrise next door), or for value, Yummy Yummy Teriyaki.

I really never do the "review" thing. I have gone to this little restaurant sense it opened. For many , many years I had lunch there 4 times a week. It was the little hole in the wall place with good food, and great prices. Recently there has been a change in management. They closed for a little while and then reopened. I started going back and found the menu has been added to and many new dishes added. This is ok , not a bad thing. Yes some of my old favorite dishes changed. I had to adjust but it was still good food. They are now having their Grand Re-opening. I had lunch there with a friend today. He also has eaten here for many years. So let me start with the positive first. New tile, paint, and pleasant service. Nice portions of food, seems to be good quality. Now for some negative comments. I post these more as advice for the place. With the new decorations and lay out. They use to have many tables, as we walked in we did notice the new floor and paint, looks good, but they removed all the tables in the middle of the dining room and my friend and I said when we walked in" are they closing down?" I would put a couple of tables in the middle just to give a better look. One thing that has happened is because they have painted and changes things it has caused some things not painted well to stand out, and not in a good way. The ceiling has tiles and they have painted them black, but very sloppy paint job and it brings attention to it. That said they have several 4 bulb light fixtures in the ceiling. Each has the defused clear panel on them. They did not change or clean these. They have many dead bugs and dirt on the top of the panel and it is not appealing eating and looking up seeing this. We noticed the pricing for lunch has gone up, I get this as well, my issue is a 2 to 3 dollar increase, but less offered. My friend and I have always loved their hot and sour soup. It has changes and neither of us liked it. This place has been open since , I think 1988. I just hope they continue to make it.

I love this place. Food is delicious, though I wouldn't recommend getting shrimp always a little overcooked. Reasonably priced, the people are always very nice. As far as take out goes, I've never eaten in the restaurant and have always done take out over the past 4 years. I always order 30 min in advance and have never had any issues with my order or the timing.

Always great food was my previous review. I have been a patron for YEARS and recommended them to everyone I know.
Now, things have changed. They have a new owner as of Oct 13th when they re-opened. They are now a Asian/Thai/Chinese place. Prices are up, portions are down.
The food not the same as it was and is pretty much standard compared to any other Asian/Thai/Chinese place now. I can get that closer to home and save the gas.

It's a hidden gem. You can't judge a book by its cover and that's exactly the best way to describe this restaurant. It's a little "iffy" looking from outside but it's very clean on the inside. The staff are always nice. The prices are great and the food is amazing! No joke, if you love Chinese food you need to try this place. Been going for a couple years and it's never let me down.

I've been coming here since the late 1970's with my parents. It was then and still is a great place to eat. Mom and I love their lunch combinations. My brother not so much, because they don't let him substitute rich with something else, but I understand why. Most Chinese find it offensive not to eat rice with a meal and since this place is truly ran by Chinese people, that's why. Doing call in orders is a bit a challenge due to the language barrier, but I always seem to make it work out with these people. We always get 2 orders of their Pepper Onion Steak combinations. The lady on the other end always confirms the order by saying "2 order" and I'm like ya "2 order." Update 4/1/2019. This place has since been taken over by new management who doesn't share the original owners' values in regards to pricing. Not to mention, they have changed their to go packing from styrofoam to plastic containers and also increased their pricing to the point of where mom and I can no longer see ourselves eating here for the time being.

Seriously the best Chinese I've ever had! Everything is always so fresh and the eggrolls are delicious! I really love the atmosphere too. You can tell they take great care in making their restaurant a welcoming place.
