Old City Wine Bar

This is one of Knoxville's true gems. Always a great time. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff is incredible. They have a huge menu consulting of many different wine, spirits, and craft beer. They have a great menu of perfect pairing foods. Give this place a try and you'll become a regular for sure.

Amazing food! But for the size of the portions, even with wine pairings, there was nothing I ate that couldn't have been made with cheaper ingredients with the same taste, and I am particularly obsessive about getting the whole experience of food and wine. Amazing though they are, paying $150 per person is absolutely ridiculous. I save my visits to once every few months, though I'd go many times more if they balanced their overhead against the final cost better.

AWESOME PLACE! Great selection of wines, incredible food, and totally unpretentious. I'm a novice wine drinker and their super-friendly and knowledgeable staff were very patient with me, explaining all the different wines, helping me select the ones I like. Now the food was off the charts INCREDIBLE! (Start with the crab dip, you won't be disappointed.) The selections of meats and cheeses for the tasting plates I haven't seen anywhere else around here. Oh, and the lamb meatballs -- WOW! It's quaint, impeccably clean, the prices are very reasonable, and I think the staff really work hard to make it comfortable and enjoyable. Definitely one of the best places in town.
