I needed to eat something simple. We chose to come here for a soup and sandwich. I had the cream of mushroom soup and a chicken salad on Texas Toast. The soup tasted good. There was a strange taste to it but that was what made it delicious (almond milk?). But the sandwich bread was fresh and chicken salad was delicious. The Luzianne Sweet Tea was weak though. I think it was either watered down or the ice water was stale and I know Luzianne Sweet Tea cause it's the best! The guy who took our order was nice. The only complaint is the price for the soups, sandwich and combos. $22 for 2 soups, 1 sandwich and 1 tea is way too much. We could have went to Shoneys for that price (or slightly more).

The mushroom soup was heavenly. We came rather late and they were out of a few things. Service was very nice. The iced tea looked good and dark. It was all that and a bag of chips.

So good and comforting! Nice selection of soups & sandwiches and the cheese bread is amazing. I was happy to have an opportunity to bring my kiddo here today. We would love to have The Soup Kitchen in Hardin Valley!

Friendly servers, very tasty soup! I had a half turkey sandwich and a bowl of chicken and wild rice soup, and it was delicious! They have a good variety to choose from, can't wait to come back.

This is a great spot for a quick lunch. I love that they rotate the soups on the menu and they post the daily menu on their website. Try the stuffed pepper soup and get some jalapeno cornbread. The lunch special is also a good one. Get a grilled cheese and a bowl for about $6

The employee was not very pleasant. She did her job, but it was like talking to a machine. You can only order the soups of the day that are displayed. You cannot order a basic soup like chicken noodle if it is not on the board. The background music is not the best and the atmosphere is on the cold side. The soup I got that day was a 7/10.

Small shop with awesome choices! The tomato basil soup and chicken noodle were great! My mom had the loaded potato and a pimento cheese sandwich and said both were good as well. Prices were awesome. Quick, cheap, and easy!
