Trio Restaurant & Market

Really great restaurant/bar. They have a fun inviting atmosphere with wonderful staff. That said they clearly take everything seriously in the best way. Their whiskey selection isn't large but it's packed with all stars. The food is incredible, the atmosphere is fun, the wine and cheese selection is amazing. If you can't find something you like to eat or drink here, and don't have a great time it's your own fault.

My wife and I ate here one night during our visit to the Outer Banks in December of 2022. TRiO offers a variety of wines, cheeses, (many of which are available in their gift shop which is a great place to browse while you await your table) and a fairly relaxed experience. All of the staff that we interacted with during our visit were very polite and attentive. They have both a lower and upper dining floor. It’s a great place for a couple or a small group as they also offer several Cheese & Charcuterie options. During our visit we did not try any of these but did see some being served at nearby tables and they appears to be good quality selections. We tried the lump crab cake during our visit along with smashed potatoes all of which was very good. We ended our evening with some delicious coffees. It’s definitely worth making the stop in Kitty Hawk to give TRiO a try!

Stopped in for dinner at the bar and Andrew took care of us. He was attentive, friendly and was multitasking the entire time we were there. We had the onion dip to start and it was slammin, my fiancé had the crab pot pie and I had the steak everything was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. Each kitchen team member that came out conducted themselves professionally and had a smile on their face, props to seeing positive team morale on a busy night. Thank you for a wonderful experience we will definitely be back!

7/28/23 Stopped in for dinner and sat at the bar. Service and food were excellent! Tried the Pineapple jalapeno wine cocktail and the rose sangria loved them both. For dinner the Carolina Grilled Peach salad was delicious with feta cheese instead of the blue, pecans, onion, & mixed greens. The oyster stew made with Virginia oysters was prepared with a Cajun cream sauce & bacon served over Dijon mashed potatoes. My friend had the Jumbo Lump Crab Pot Pie with a house salad which she loved! For dessert we got the Mandarin Orange cake, the desserts are scratch made daily and this one was yummy! Highly recommend this restaurant and it also features a gourmet wine, cheese & beer shop.

Our airbnb recommended this place and thought we should check this out. When I was scanning through their menu, the whipped goat cheese and fig jam caught my eye and had to try it. Man! It didn’t disappoint, it’s definitely the first time I’ve had an appetizer like this! I had aged gouda cheese roast beef panini with a side of Caesar salad and my husband ordered steak with side of mashed potato. Everything tasted so good! Too bad I wasn’t able to try their cheese and charcuterie board and also their wine. I think it would be a delight as well!

Cool place to eat and hang, great aesthetic and deep wine/ tap list. Food was off the chain, amazing, vibrant flavors and super fresh sea food. We ordered several of the evening's specials and they did not disappoint! Our server was knowledgeable and could talk about the food as well as make solid recommendations. She was friendly and attentive, so kudos to her and the kitchen staff for a great meal and experience! We loved that there were multiple vegetarian dishes and options for the two vegetarians in our party.
