My boyfriend Coty and I live in Kirkwood, and we decided to stroll into the new Wasabi for lunch. We were surprised at the great lunch specials and the ambiance. Not only are the sushi rolls the best we had ever had but the spicy chicken lunch and the stuffed jalapeño appetizer is especially delicious and not too heavy on the stomach. The desserts are incredible and so is the hot tea or Sapporo on draft. The staff is incredible and the reason why Coty and I are now regulars at the Wasabi in Kirkwood. Thank you to everyone who makes our experience rememberable every time.
Shout out to Mr. Kim, the most genuine person I have ever met in the industry. He truly makes our visits a treat!
Even though a chain, this location in particular feels like home. I have been here multiple times and I am so pleased upon every visit. The GM Steve Cook and the Server/Host L.J. are incredible!!! They always give top notch service and truly attend to your stomachs needs lol. Love these two and they will have a customer for a lifetime. Thanks guys,

Great food, very good service, especially for it being the end of their night. Nevertheless, our server was quite attentive and met all of our needs, with no hint of rushing us through. Can't wait to return to try more of the interesting and attractive menu!
This is my go to place in town for consistently delicious and fresh sushi. We’ve always had great experiences here with both the service and food. The crispy spring rolls are some of the best I’ve ever had. I also find their sushi to be fresh and it tastes delicious. One thing I miss is that they used to have every sushi roll pictured on the menu. I find sushi to be a visual experience as well so I miss being able to see what I’m going to eat before it comes out. Also, one thing that is a little strange to me, is that, as you can see in the picture, all sushi for the table is served together on one plate. So, if you’re going with friends, you have to remember which roll is yours and you’re all eating from the same board. Not the end of the world, but…
Had some yummy sushi at Wasabi - Firecracker roll and Come & Get It roll were really good, service was great, 4 stars on atmosphere because it's a bit loud in the dining room with not that many people. We'll be back for more.
My first time here was fantastic! I love sushi and went during their happy hour 3-5 pm. I ordered the Mr. Kim (bottom roll) and Philadelphia (top roll) in picture. So so good!! I wish I ordered more but I was full by the end. The wait staff was nice and they made sure to refill my drink quickly. I loved the relaxing environment here. I will definitely be back!
We used to love coming to Wasabi before COVID. During and after COVID, many things changed. Service was lacking, and the server we would get would always have an attitude. She seemed very busy and extremely rude. We came last time a couple of months ago, and we had a horrible experience with the same server. We said we would not be coming ever again. Today was my daughter's birthday, and she requested we go to Wasabi. We arrived, and you could see that something was completely different as soon as we walked in. We were greeted with a smile, and we got a table right away. A lady came to take our order, and she was so professional. She had a warm approach and such attention to detail. Her name was Lauren. Not just her, but everything is entirely different. The other servers kept asking us if we needed water, forks, and refills. They even surprised my daughter with a dessert for her birthday—such a positive change. We would love to come back again with this team.
We went for $7 roll night and it was amazing! It took a little bit to get our food but was worth the wait. Clarissa and Lauren were awesome! Even though they were super busy, they made sure we had everything we needed.
Awesome sushi selection!! Love the girl on fire and crispy rice. We come in a couple times a month and we always enjoy our sushi night out. The sushi is always fresh. The servers are always very attentive and always have a big smile on their faces. We don’t have a favorite server because they are all excellent.
Omg this is the best Sushi and Japanese cuisine. They do an amazing job of pleasing your pallet at this place, and the beauty and care they put into every little detail of plating and presentation of their Bento box is exceptional. The flavor explodes on your pallet and if you love Sushi you have to visit Wasabi in Kirkwood
We were able to get group of 9 seated on Sunday night. Service was great, accommodating our 5 slightly loud kids with limited menu preferences.
We loved shrimp combo for kids, ocean and geisha rolls were delicious. Also, fried ice cream to polish it!
The last few times we ordered take out, the quality and flavors were much better. This is reliably good sushi, but it won't blow you away.
