Cafe Provencal

Quaint, bistro style, French restaurant (in a strip mall), but I'm always transported when I slow down to have a meal here. Same wonderful staff have been here for years. I love their warm bread and butter, salad, onion soup, and salmon with mustard...and love their chocolate mousse. A few tables outside. Quiet, relaxed, good food.

Jason was our server and he was absolutely amazing. He rearranged the tables to accommodate our birthday group without a blink. He was very attentive! Everyone enjoyed their food - but - my onion soup had no French bread/crouton in it and the salad Nicoise did not seem to have dressing on it. Both tasted fine, but I have had their onion soup several times and I’m certain it had toasted French bread in it. I know, I should have told Jason, and he would have taken care of it. We had a party of fourteen and he was in a good rhythm, so no problem. I think the kitchen staff may have messed up and these little things should be brought to their attention. The Cafe is one of my personal favorite places so I will definitely return. Thanks!

Comment et pourquoi?! I literally work a stone's throw from this place and never knew it was there. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch from start to finish! The staff is ultra professional and attentive, clearly working as a beehive of energy and teamwork. Jason, our server, who has a delightful "radio voice" I might add, maintained the perfect balance between providing great service and allowing us "space" to visit. He's awesome. The crusty bread served at the start was delicious. When I ordered "only" French onion soup and a Caesar salad combo, I was not expecting such a treat! The soup had a perfectly baked ultra-full-flavor cheesy topping with a nicely salted broth with the expected croutons and onions within. So good! The Caesar had just the right amount of anchovy-based dressing that was soooo good, tossed with croutons and grated slices of parmesan. It doesn't get better than that! Of course, how could we leave without having dessert? I had creme brulee that had a touch of cinnamon. It had a nicely crisped topping with a beautiful custard below. Delicious! My friend's flourless chocolate cake reportedly was equally good. Thank you for a sweet lunch with my good friend, Cafe P. We will be back very soon!

We booked for Valentine’s Day - which is probably one of their busiest days. We were greeted right away by a nice gentleman and told that it’d be just a few for a table. It took like 3 minutes and we were seated. At first it looked too crowded as if they crammed in too many tables for vday. But to be honest the ambiance was perfect and table spacing was just fine. They had a menu that you could select your options for the Valentine’s Day meal. And there were SO many options! I was surprised. Gary took great care of us. Was prompt with his service. Each course was properly timed and the portions were so generous! The bread was delicious and the butter was perfect temp to spread. It was the best French onion soup I’ve ever had. And the pork chop was super juicy with a very tastey gravy. Only thing I did wrong was not save room for dessert which by looking at other tables also was a very generous size! We have plans to go back JUST to try the dessert. Thanks Gary for being an awesome server!

Lovely French ambiance! The menu is pretty small but it has most of what you’d expect to see on the menu of a French restaurant. The bread was delicious and honestly my favorite part of the meal! The French Onion Soup was pretty good but tasted just a little off, like perhaps it had too much Worcestershire in it. We also weren’t big fans of the crème brûlée being topped with cinnamon. Our wine and entrees were good, however. No issues with the service. The menu on their website is outdated. My filet béarnaise is listed as $24 on their website but is now $28. I understand the need to raise prices, but their website needs to reflect that. Our whole meal after tip was a little over $140 (3 glasses of wine, 1 soup, 2 entrees, 1 dessert). Overall, my wife and I enjoyed the meal and will surely be back.
