The staff is incredibly rude. They do not have any signs posted, however, said I cannot bring a bottle of water. They then say it is a city law that I cannot bring a bottle of water with me. Hint -- it's not. And look at the wait times to get the very salty food. Edit: In response to the owner I challenge them to cite the law, or agree to add a sign. Believe it or not I actually try to respect posted signs. Add a sign or cite the law and I will be happy to remove the negative review. Until then it will stand. The Washington State Retail Food Code appears to make no mention of this "law". Further, the other people bringing in coffee don't appear to get a second look. Why is that? But they ordered me to immediately remove it, or place it in my bag (which I did not have) then immediately left. Not an offer of water, or any human courtesy as they seem to imply. I stand by my review. My interactions with the staff was very negative.

TL:DR - The ideal 'small' place setup with just enough to make most hotels jealous. Reminding me of the beach-side bars of FL from my youth The Slip is an appropriately intimate space and half of a bar. The menu has enough range in the 'sandwich' category to make multiple people happy. Tables were a little sticky so perhaps a bit more could be paid attention to. The divine is in the details.

The location is great on a sunny day, but they try hard so you have minimal interaction with their staff. You use the QR code and order and pay at the table. Sounds nice, but a bit cumbersome, feels the equivalent of going to Home Depot and using the self checkout. Food is okay but feel like they need to up their game. I used to really love this place, and I’ll be back again on a sunny afternoon, just would like to see a little more personal touch.

Stopped here after work for a happy hour. Atmosphere was great, drink selection was nothing out of the ordinary but I was able to get what I wanted - No complaints there. The QR code ordering procedure was a little weird for our group though, I think there is room for improvement.

Easily the best burger in Kirkland. Also some of the best fries and onion rings. The Burgerdilla is my go-to but the whole menu is good. Sitting out on the patio when the weather is nice with a cold beer is pretty much perfect.

Poor customer service! If you want to substitute their chips that are coming with the burger, with fries ($3 more), after you paid for the order, they won’t do it for the $3 dollars extra (saying it is not possible after the order went through). They give you just the option to order a regular side of fries, forget about substitution. Also, a tip for them- better to include those $0,45 for the sauce in the cost of fries, than asking customers for extra pennies.

It’s was a long wait for a very basic burger. Don’t get me wrong, it’s better than fast food, but nothing to go out of the way for. Maybe it’s better with the ambiance of sitting on the patio on a warm summer day. I got the Slip Burger to go.

No frills place. Either place the order at your table or place it inside and they'll bring your food out to you. Mainly outside seating with a few tables covered. We ordered onion rings, eggsdilla, Slip burger with grilled pineapple and their donuts. Also the pear gorgonzola salad. Everything was good except the donuts. Didn't like the texture. I would go back.
