La Foresta Restaurant

The restaurant is warm and cozy. The service outstanding. The food was delicious but slightly pricey. My husband had a veal dish which was chewy and not tender. He should have sent it back but chose not to. I had braised short ribs with mashed potatoes and string beans. The flavor was outstanding, however, you only received 3 pieces of short ribs and one of them was mostly fatty. As far as our table was concerned, we were just a wee uncomfortable because we did not feel that the tables where the required 6' apart. I immediately said to the 3 people that were with me that the tables are just too close but we chose to just sit there. In hindsight I would have requested a table away from the others. The layout of that particular room that we were in did not seem to have the required distance between tables. This was our interpretation. This is a finer dining place so if you do go be prepared to dish out $$$. I will go back to this restaurant but I will ensure that where I sit I am comfortable with the distance.

This was a group of 15 family and close friends. We were seated in a private upstairs room, with wine bins on every wall. A very inviting venue. The dinner was planned for us, "family-style" appetizers, with generous portions of perfectly prepared, served at the correct temperature of unique and tempting creations. The next 3 courses were all plated individually, and delivered to everyone at the SAME time. (The staff is amazing!!) The quality of the food and presentation made us feel like we were members of the owners family. If you want to celebrate a memorable occasion with a MORE memorable one ..make the journey to Killingworth, ...it is well worth your time.!
