LEGIT! Best spot on the island for local cuisine! Very good service and great atmosphere! The plates are the way to go! Such great variety and selection. The beef is so good!! We tried the noodles, plates, and the grilled cheese for the kids.
WOW ... I'm not sure where to begin.
I feel like you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We ordered Chicken long rice, deep fried spam musubi, saimen, and galbi short ribs noodles.
Regardless what you get, the deep fried spam musubi is a must - it comes one complete musubi cut into four pieces - too good to share.
The galbi short ribs noodles was a big plate. Good to feed a party of four.
Saimen was in a small bowl but it had tons of topping making it a very filling small bowl.
The food is tasty and reasonably priced. The kalni short ribs were delicious. The garlic shrimp was also tasty. Waited about 15 minutes to get a table inside at about 3:00 pm. Bathroom is around the corner (big old key chain makes you feel like you are at a gas station).
Upon Guy's recommendation, I popped in here to try Da Kitchen out. I ordered da combo 3. White rice was perfectly cooked. The teriyaki chicken was flawlessly marinated and not drenched in sauce, which I loved. The spam was expectedly good, as a pan fried spam usually tastes. The kalua pork I wasn't a fan of. But, I had never tried kalua pork before and just don't like the flavor profile. The pulled pork was cooked perfectly. It was salted. It was well done in that regard. The potato Mac salad was delicious as well. Great restaurant.
It was tough to find but well worth it. Located in the corner of the plaza. We started with the spring rolls with a dipping sauce. They were very good by themself add the sauce and it was a great start. We shared the Da Korean comb. Made up with Kalbi short ribs, Korean chicken, & meat jun served with rice, mac, kimchee, & namasu. Each was delicious on their own and enough for two. I had a pineapple ice tea and my wife had a slushy pineapple. Both were good choices
Great food with different varieties....and their portions are huge (worth the price). We enjoyed it
For those who thought DA Kitchen was gone for ever..... JUST VISITED AGAIN AND EVEN BETTER TODAY!!!!!!
We are so happy it has been re-encarnated. While we were waiting, it had a steady stream of people coming in to order as well as pick-up carryout. I asked how things were going, you could tell a big smile was behind the mask. Last night we enjoyed some of our favorite flavors!!!
DON'T MISS THIS GEM if you're visiting Maui!!! Tried the spring roll app with chili sauce and it was delicious. Husband and I shared the mixed plate. Fried Fish, Katsu Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken & Beef, Rice and mac salad. You could tell the meat was marinated not just sauce thrown on top. Our friends got the Loco Moco and the Garlic Shrimp with side salad instead of mac salad (which I wish I had done. I'm not a big fan of mac salad). Our Food was SOOOOO good and at $26 out the door with tip, it was worth every penny. (Sorry for the poor pictures. We were starving and started eating before I took them.)
Easy to miss this spot as there isn’t much of a sign, but it’s in the corner of the complex. Very lowkey ambience which I liked and the staff were friendly. Large portions; it ended up giving us 2 lighter leftover lunches the next day. Garlic noodles were yummy. It came with a huge portion of noodles and the sauce on the chicken was good. Lau lau was also great and I highly recommend it if you haven’t had this traditional Hawaiian dish. Lau Lau was fairly expensive though so I wouldn’t get it very often. Fried spam musubi was amazing and a great dipping sauce.
Great Hawaiian food tucked into the corner of a strip mall. We got the mixed plate (kahlua pig was perfect, mac salad was legit) and spam musubi two ways (regular & fried - we liked the fried best as it had a nice crust).
