One of our favorite places to go in Key West. Husband loves the blackened Mahi sandwich. I had the chicken sandwich, which was good but maybe a little dry. Always enjoy listening to Michael McCloud! Solid music and good laughs. Dog friendly!!!
Favorite place for an easy relaxing evening. Painkillers are the best. Come here all the time. Music is usually very good too. Love to sit upstairs
We kept walking by this place and it was always crowded. We decided to try it for breakfast. The "captain" (bacon, sausage, pancakes, eggs and potatoes) was huge! And, reasonably priced... My fiancé's minosa came with its own little tiny bottle of champagne. GREAT place for breakfast!
Been coming here for 20 years. Like most of Key West service is island style. Don't worry be happy. Venue is all outdoors so it is always hot and sticky. Has gotten more expensive over the years but what hasn't. Food still good. Lots of weird interesting locals or wannabes hanging around. Great location on the harbor. Buy a souvenir hat. I have 2 and quality is great. One of mine is 15 years old and faded but survives many washings and beach/ocean outings and is like new except the color.
We had an awesome time at Schooners! Brook is the best, our favorite bartender in the Keys! The food, drinks, and live music was all great!
Great atmosphere. Decent food. Terrible liquor drinks. Stick to beer.
Probably the favorite bar an.... Probably my favorite bar anywhere in the world. Full of local barflies in the afternoon. Its open air (so it can be hot as hell). Great music at night. This place is truely unforgettable.

Great Down to Earth Bar/Restaurant. A neighbor recommended this place to us and he told us we had to go when Raven Cooper was preforming. At the same time, everytime we passed this place on the tour bus,they pointed out it had the earliest Happy Hour on the Island starting at 8:00 am. That means, we had to go.
Checked the schedule and found out when Ms Cooper was preforming and timed our arrival accordingly. The place is fantastic. It's a very laid back atmosphere. Rustic and in some cases, tacky decor makes for a fun place.
Good service and the food is excellent. I had the Shrimp with Onion Rings on the side while my wife had the Crab Cakes. For dessert, we both had a slice of Key Lime Pie. Lunch was excellent.
As far as the entertainment, Raven Cooper was everything my neighbor said she would be. Not a regular fan of Johnny Cash but it was the first time I have every experienced a performer with enough range to do both parts of a Johnny Cash / June Carter Duet and not only do it, but do it well.
If you go take a moment and walk upstairs to the upstairs deck. Great view of the harbor that you would miss otherwise.
Fun place to go and I highly recommend.
A great local hangout. Loved this place. We were wandering around the docks and found this at the end and once we saw it was loaded with locals we knew we had to go in. It's all outside under the trees and tents with a good beer selection and live music.
WE lingered over a few beers, enjoyed watching the locals, and listening to the musician tell some interesting stories. There's an upstairs deck for sunset watching but the sun was blazing so we didnt' venture up there.
Saw lots of food being served but didnt try any. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean for key west standards although it did feel like you were peeing in the woods. LOL
Very cool place. When you envision an old salty key west waterfront locals bar well this is it. We loved this place and plan on hanging here every evening for the rest of our stay. Two thumbs up.

Great place, average food. We had dinner here after a day of snorkeling. The atmosphere was great and service was good. The food was OK, but nothing impressive. Like most places in Key West, it was overpriced for what you get.
Great local place, live music. Great bar tenders, atmosphere, open air, cold beer, GOOD food and lots of good people watching. Also it's on the marina and you can go upstairs and watch the boats in the harbor, catch the sunset, just stand up there and chill out. It's totally off the beaten path, like blocks and blocks away from Duval. However, it's still popular but not with the typical crowds you'd find on Duval. Just go check it out. Sit at the bar, rub elbows with the locals, let the old guy roll you a cigar and buy him a drink. This is a locals hang-out. Bartenders truly have eyes in the back of their heads!
Great Dive Bar. Outstanding atmosphere at this total dive. Open air and full of Key West characters. A classic. Mood is just average pub fare.
Awesome.. Great local music, strong drinks (try the painkiller), and delish food. Less touristy than most places in Key West.
This place was amazing!! The food was worth every penny and the service was superb!! I definitely give this place 5 stars!!!! The vegetables were very well done and the key lime pie rivaled the best I had ever had!!

Schooner Wharf. My partner and I ate here during a spring break trip. It was such an awesome old Key West experience. Now I know why people choose local restaurants instead of all the chain places. It is an experience of old Florida like my grandparents used to talk about.
The service in the Keys is laid back - no hurry. You get used to it. I think it adds to the Keys atmosphere. Why be in a rush? If you are in a hurry, go to Captain D's. We did not experience any slow service or rude wait staff, by the way. We had a very pleasant experience.
They have breakfast, by the way. I love breakfast. Try the three-egg Schooner omelet.
For dinner, this place is really hopping. They have live music, too. It will get crowded later in the evening.
As an appetizer, try the calarmari rings or the tuna nachos. Both are quite good.
For an entree, my partner ordered the sesame seared tuna. He said it was perfect. This was the first time he had eaten seaweed salad. I ordered the seafood sampler. I was impressed with the coconut shrimp and conch fritters. Get this for a taste of everything.
Prices on Key West are a little higher, but we knew this in advance of our vacation there.
Best coconut shrimp & grilled mahi mahi I've ever had! The service was great. Live music adds a nice relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place.
KW at its best!. Laid back place to have a beer or two or more. Both afternoons we were there there was live entertainment. Michael McCloud was fun. Food and service are good. I like the roof top!
Well if you know what KW is about you will need to go here - daily- it's old school KW- good food- great people and the best view of the harbor -
Good music. Its a tired place but the music if good when Michael McDonald is playing.. 6 days a week except Tuesdays.. I believe... itunes 99cents... makes you feel in the keys mood...
Yum!!! Finally, GOOD fish!!! The conch chowder was just as good as others said. The fish tacos were loaded with tender fish. The grilled mahi dinner was just right. Very low key, relaxed, and prices to match. One of the cheaper dinners & by far, one of the best meals down here. Will come back again!
Best place in key west to grab a beer and oysters. On top of that, the band's cover of "Almost Cut My Hair" nearly brought tears to my eyes.
Liked it just fine. Beers were ice cold, locals were friendly, (Hi Oscar!) Bartenders were prompt and engaging. Didn't try the food, & only caught the tail end of another "island music" guy (thank god, you can only take so much of that). But liked it very much, 2-stars just for the general decrepitude of the place but don't let that stop you.
Great location. Conch fritters were mostly batter - you'd think having so many conch around, they could put more fish in these things. the tuna appetizer was good as were the fish and chips. The guitar player/Jimmy Buffett wanna be was entertaining. Make sure to say "hi" to Samantha when you go! She's cheerful :)
Fish dip is fantastic and the buffalo shrimp are good as well. Other items I've tried were average, but not bad. Service could use a little uptick, service in the keys is pretty weak overall, bit this was even below average for the keys.

Food's average but overall awesome spot. Don't expect the best food ever, but sit back, shut up, have a cold one and enjoy Michael McCloud jam some key west tunes while you kick back and actually enjoy your time in the keys. This place rocks.

If you come to Key West. You MOST def gotta check out this bar. It’s cool, local bar right on the water. Really cool spot if you wanna get away from all the Duvall Street madness and get some fresh local seafood. Did I mention happy hour every day 8am to Noon and again starting at five. This is what Key West is all about. Great Food, Drinks and Live Entertainment! This location is sandwiched between William St. and the Historic Harbor Walk, along Key West Bight Marina. The open atmosphere of the historic area, along with the coming and going of boats from the Marina, coupled with the live entertainment and constant flow of people from both the street and the harbor walk, make this place a perfect people watching experience. The food is fresh and delicious. Lots of Fresh Seafood options, as well as non-seafood options. Service is decent, even when busy, seating is first come first serve, so if it’s open, you better grab it before it’s too late! Bar area as well as a second floor deck. Beverages are cold, food is delicious, entertainment no matter what direction you look, again what else could you possibly ask for?
We had 25 people with us and walked in unannounced the night of 10/6/23 and we were immediately greeted warmly and made to feel so welcome! RANGO was our server and she took care of all of us like no other! She and the rest of the staff did such a great job making sure we were all having such a great time! Drinks were always full and we were constantly being taken care of. Thank you RANGO and the rest of the staff for an amazing experience!
Literally. The. Best. No words needed. Best seafood I’ve ever had in my life and honestly the best service from Mark our man! If you’re wondering where to head when you’re at Key West, come on over and start to finish, you’ll not be disappointed. Great live music to liven your experience as well! Fav!
What you would expect for a Local open air bar. The atmosphere is good. Has live band during weekday. We did not eat there today but have before, years ago. My daughter was even a server here probably twelve years ago. Food was good then.
My daughter is moving out of Key West and was wanting to use some of the free drink cards/tokens she has collected before she leaves so this was one stop we made for drinks
Mix drinks were just okay. I would stick with beer. The food was pretty good. The guys had oysters and Conch fritters. Said they were really good. My friend had a wrap and I had the beef and queso with chips and conch chowder. The music was really good. Definitely the flavor of Key West. Very casual outside bar and grill. In the Marina.
The conch fritters were tasty. Fish taco was spicy but still had flavor. The server we had was subpar. Not to say the rest of the staff was not friendly. However the server we had gotten seemed very disinterested in her job. The atmosphere was very laid back and comfortable. Live music was being played and was a nice time. Overall i would come back again.
We had a very nice time listening to singers and talking to the locals. This place is very busy in the evenings and has a nice view on the water.
I JUST have to tell you, this place was, amazing, the food was super good, and felt so fresh, we ate oysters, shrimps and coconut shrimps, and for dessert a key lime pie, 😋

We were sent here by a local for the You hook 'em, we cook 'em deal. The staff were so friendly, and it was nice to hang with a lot of the locals! Great vibe. Wonderful live music. Did I say the food was amazing?!!! We had them blacken our fresh Tuna and Mahi, and it was so so good! And the cocktails were delicious as well. My favorite piňa colada on the island:)
Only had beer here. But, it was cold and delivered quick. There was an Irish man performing and he had an incredible voice. He played requests and interacted with the customers. This was a great experience.
This is a great place in Key West. My wife and I went for dinner and were able to find seating immediately. They had live music the night we went and it made the perfect atmosphere while being on vacation in the Keys. We got the conch fritters to start, which were amazing. My wife had the wings for her entree and they were juicy and flavorful. I had the shrimp BLT with fries. Everything was great and I'd recommend this as a place to stop by when in Key West.

Love it here. Really festive and fun spot to come have some drinks or lunch. Live music pretty much constantly and it’s always a great time. Fun to watch the boats, look at Shrimpboat Sound and just take it all in. Have had the conch fritters here and fried shrimp and it has been excellent. One of our favorite spots in Key West.
A bit wait, but come on, when you are on holiday relax, have a chat with people.

Loved this spot right by the water on a recent trip down to Key West. My friends and I were riding back to our townhouse rental from Mallory Square and were trying to find a nice place for dinner on our last night before leaving to go home. We could hear the live music and chose to stop here based on the performance and look of the of the place.
Service was a little slow due to how busy the place was, but the food was amazing especially for the price. Between the three of us, we ordered two buckets of beer. I was a bit disappointed to see that we were charged for each beer individually rather than given a discount since buckets were advertised. Keep that in mind if you do order.
With that being said, I'd happily recommend this place if you ever get the chance to visit this wonderful island!
