We had a sad outcome, but I am so thankful for the Veterinarians and Techs. I couldn't imagine how horrible it would have been had they not been there for us during our loss. Everyone was so caring. I am beyond thankful for all they did for us and our Arabian. Doctor Connard even brought us some sweet feed out to give our boy wile we said goodbye. The level of care was astounding.
Super thankful for the staff at New Bolton, in particular Dr Amy Johnson and her assistant, Emily. My horse has spent a few days up there for some testing and diagnostics. Despite my horse being non critical or emergent, they still took the time to answer all my questions. When my horses elective procedure understandably had to get pushed back a day due to emergent cases coming in, the doctor emailed me and kept me in the loop.
I also really appreciated that they don’t push you to do unnecessary testing or diagnostics and are very upfront and honest about costs ahead of time. I was a nervous wreck about sending him up there, but was immediately put at ease by my conversations with Dr Johnson and her staff. Dr Johnson is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly cares deeply about each horse under her care.
Working in the vet field myself, I’ve seen first hand how much vets and their staff have on their plates these days. Despite all they have going on, they still showed concern, care and kindness towards both me and my horse. I’m very grateful
I’m very grateful to Dr. Kara Brown, an orthopedist at New Bolton. I recently adopted a horse who I rescued with severe arthritis. She has been kind, compassionate and encouraging throughout the consultation with her and my horses general vet, Dr. Lindberg at Pinewood Equine, who have worked together in tandem for the best possible treatment options for my arthritic mare. Through my consultation with her via phone and email, she was able to give many options for my mare. We all ultimately decided on some injections, which are really making a big difference. When I have been seeing my mare trot limp free and not be hindered by arthritic flares because of her injections, which Dr. Brown suggested, I have been so relieved and happy to see her moving more easily, with less discomfort and pain.
Very pleased with Dr. Brown, her compassion, outline of treatment options and coordination of care with my horses general vet. She’s very responsive to emails and the consultation was affordable. I just wish that their office was located closer to NJ!!
She’s great!
I just got back from my first time at New Bolton and I cannot say enough good things. It was the best clinic experience I've had by far. Dr. Ortved and Dr. Johnson are amazing, knowledgeable, very communicative, empathetic, patient and friendly. So was the rest of the staff we encountered. When my girl was less than interested in getting on the trailer to come home, the staff was very patient and kind and made it a good experience for her.
I love how the doctors work together; it's truly a team effort pulling on everyone's strengths. We are still waiting on results, but I will not hesitate to drive the 2+ hours back to see them again. Thank you so much to all the staff for everything you do. (Not only all that, but it was much more affordable than I expected)
I'd been dealing with health/lameness issues in both of my horses for over a year now. Vets in my area were unable to correct the problems or provide me with answers as to what might be happening.
My visit to New Bolton Center was an excellent experience. The people who helped me with scheduling were pleasant and very easy to reach. They also spent lots of time listening to my concerns without ever rushing me off the phone.
Once there, my horses were treated very well. The examinations were quite thorough. We were there from 10 am and didn't load up to leave until almost 5pm. My horses were kept in comfortable stalls with hay and water during the down time. They were offered lots of treats as well.
The doctors working with my horses allowed me to explain in detail what's been going on with them over the past year. They were evaluated visually, radiographicly and through ultrasound. Id finally received the answers I'd been looking for. The bill for all of this was less than half of what I'd expected to pay. In the future my horses will make the two hour trip to this facility for all of their veterinary needs.
Pleasantly surprised by how personable & compassionate everyone was. And the pricing was absolutely reasonable! I'm so grateful to have them as my equine referral facility. Thank you again for taking such good care of my beloved Geisli!
Today Dr. Sarah Colmer Took all her time speaking to me about my pig Daisy. I explained to her what was wrong with her and she helped me the best that she could over the phone. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get my Daisy to eat or drink and sadly she passed away today. I was hoping and praying that it might have been just a stomach virus or something. I am very sad I loved her very much and she was only four years old. I just can’t imagine what happened. I am so grateful though Sarah for comforting me after her passing. I am so very thankful for your time!! Thank you so much that meant so much to me!!
Nice place, and caring staff. We had a great experience!
