Near the centre of Kennybunk port, we discovered this lovely joint where there was a lot of outside seating and a very nice vibe. It was a price for sure but the food was great and the portion sizes were..American.
Service was attentive, but they were probably short staffed. Some of the drinks a great. They had run out of deserts by the time we got around to ordering so we did not get to try very much. Also some of the items on the menu which was listed on the website, was not available for lunch. This was disappointing for my younger daughter but in the end she was happy with what she got. Would consider going back when I am in this area again.
The duck fat fried corn bread and strawberry rhubarb salad need particular mention.
This is a pet friendly establishment which probably earns them the fifth star .

We felt bad at some point because one of our dog started to barked at another dog, but the staff were so kind and reassuring.
They have a beautiful terrace, good music, good beer and good food !
They also have vegetarian options đ±
Prices were a bit high to my opinion. But we had such a nice experience that it was worth it !
*We were able to park easily on the street in front of the restaurant, but I didn't notice if there's a parking somewhere. We arrive before the rush hour, but I think it could be harder to park during regular lunch and dinner hours*

Batson River Brewing is a multi-level gastropub. Great food, good view, and a nice Transylvania-yet-not-pretentious vibe.
We were very happy with our visit. Their beer list included eight or so different beers covering all the key styles, ale, ipa, lager, etc. they also have cocktails, mock tails, and even nonalcoholic beer.
My spouse ordered the pulled pork, which was marginal - cool and not a lot of flavor, covered in cheese (why do restaurants do that??!!!). Fortunately I ordered the fish tacos, and they were a home run! Flavorful, spicy but not hot, and easily shared.

I had heard recommendations to visit the Portland location. We didn't have time, so I was excited to see this location during our visit to Kennebunkport. My boyfriend and I stopped in for a few drinks. He enjoyed a couple different beers, and I enjoyed two cocktails - both were expertly crafted and well balanced! The "Night Creatures Call" came in a fun skeleton glass and was exactly as described - an adult chai latte. My favorite was the Potion No. 9 - a spin on a gin sour. Cocktails run about $15 each, pretty similar to what we're used to in CA. Must visit!

We visit Kennebunk often and have been here a handful of times. The atmosphere is great with lots of outdoor seating. It gets busy during peak days/times, but itâs a big, multi-level spot with lots of indoor and outdoor tables. No reservations, walk-in only. Very dog friendly! In terms of food, recommend the strawberry rhubarb salad and fried chicken sandwich.

Place is currently all decked out for Christmas! Lots of fire pits to keep your warm on the deck. Inside is fully decorated and has the coziest of vibes. Drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend this spot.

1st time visitor - spent a day in Kennebunkport with my wife and wanted to try out Batson's beer. Didn't realize they were a distillery as well.
Tried the Easternmost IPA and was very pleased!

Really nice bar and bites place. The atmosphere is a bit different from the surrounding NE fishing village vibe down the street. Although the appetizer Cajun fries were nothing special the drinks, cornbread, and Mussels were fantastic. I would highly recommend for the cocktails if nothing else.

A cozy little brewery/distillery. The food & drink menu may be minimal, but the flavor is certainly not. The drinks are mixed well by knowledgeable bartenders. However, the food was the show-stopper. Order the duck fat cornbread. Just do it. We ordered a variety of apps, and every single one was delicious. We visited in the off-season, but they still delivered great service and quality. Outside are 5-6 little private "ice fishing huts," where you can sit with a group of 4-6 people for an extra hourly rate. I will definitely visit again in the summer.

I came to the Wells, Maine location. Heather greeted me and seated me at the bar with a drink and food menu. Peter was my bartender and waiter. He suggested the Strawberry Basil Cosmo with the house made vodka. It was perfect. Me being from New Orleans it had the right amount of vodkađ€«. I ordered the smoked haddock chowder, garlic + chili wings, and the glazed carrots. Everything was delicious and the service was impeccable. I enjoyed my pre-birthday dining experience!

LOVED our visit to Batson Riverâ older millennials beware as you will be enamoured with the mid-90s to early noughties playlist (think Matchbox 20 and Train), local craft spirits with the most lovely unique pairings (lavender in a whiskey sour?!) and exceptional food. We were beyond impressed with the service, the flavour explosions in the food (eg candied lemon peel with bearnaise on wood fired asparagus) and the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. We are gutted that we werenât able to have multiple meals here and will absolutely coming back. Definitely worth a visit if youâre anywhere nearbyâ and are destined to help put Kennebunk on the map even more so. Lovely vibes and local feel in the restaurant too.

Came with a table of 5, all of whom enjoyed their food. I got the lobster roll with brown butter which came with what seemed to be house made potato chips which were very crispy but not greasy. The lobster roll was twice the size of what Iâm used to getting, filled with lots of claw meat. The food menu seemed a little small, but the food we did get was good.

Excellent cocktails! We've been here a few times and each time the menu amazes us with different offerings of cocktail combinations that are far from the ordinary while the ingredients are quite knowable. They've expanded outdoor space from the years past making it a great spot for outdoor socially distanced drinks and food. We'll be back again soon!
