Turkey Roost

We were just in for dinner tonight with my parents. It was my first time here but is a family favorite. We were promptly greeted upon entering and social distance seating was observed. Our server Jaycee, was very nice & attentive. We all ordered large turkey dinners. It was no more time than indulging in the delicious homemade biscuits (around five minutes max) and our dinners were ready! I was utterly shocked at how fast the food was ready! I was delighted to discover the make their own coleslaw from scratch... which is very good! I’m not even a fan of cranberry sauce, but I just had to try it and loved it! You can’t leave without having a piece of pie. My pictures include pecan, cherry and raspberry (they’ll even do alamode w/ whipped cream) pies, which were all very delicious!! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back if I’m in the area. Don’t forget to leave your server a good tip, they deserve it. 👍👍😁

My husband and I went there during the time when we could only get curbside delivery. We had never been there before and the waitress expressed to us the choices they had. We decided to get the turkey, it came with: mashed potatoes, corn, cole slaw, and cranberry sauce. Of course there was turkey gravy on both the meat and potatoes. We got home and ate right away. It was delicious. I especially liked the cranberry sauce. We will definitely go back.

I have been coming here since my childhood. Anytime I can get in the area, I go out of my way to stop. The food is always consistent and good. The prices are reasonable....because it is a hole in the wall restaurant. But everything about the Turkey Roost screams, “welcome, sit down, and let us serve you a good meal.” This is Michigan at its finest.

Every trip to the cabin meant a stop at the Turkey Roost. It's been a favorite for many years. It has been a few years since I have been and the food is still just as good as I remembered. Was lucky to stop on a Wednesday so I which is the only day they serve the Pot Pie. Perfect crust and delicious comfort food.

We love to stop in at the Turkey Roost on our way to South Branch. It has become a family tradition. Over the years our food choices have changed to the leaner greener side but we reserve the right to pig out at the Turkey Roost a few times a year! Comfort food at its best!! Nothing fancy. Quick service. Delicious food. Choice of large or smaller portions. Always the top quality service. Aside from mom’s cooking, You just can not find a more satisfying Turkey dinner anywhere else.

Ate here for breakfast yesterday and it was very good! Got the special turkey plate with all white meat which came with: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet corn, and a biscuit. Everything was great my only complaint is they only give you a shot glass sized cup of cranberry sauce. More cranberry and you'd get a 5 star but definitely go here if you have the chance
