First time at this location in Katy. I’ve been to the one off 99 @ hwy 90 and had a great experience, so I had high hopes for this location because it’s close to home. We went in for sit down on a Tuesday afternoon at 5pm. No crowd and seated right away. Server came over just a minute or two after we were seated and took our drink order and then food order.
Food: I’ll give the Buffalo Chicken wrap with fried chicken an 8.5/10. Portion was huge, flavor was good (maybe a touch more Buffalo sauce), but chicken was crispy & delicious. Also came out pretty quick.
He had the Mac & Cheese burger and said it lacked flavor (needed salt) and m&c was a little cold. So he rated it a 4.8/10.
Fries: 12/10 these fries are the best! Enough said! I could do without the fries sauce though, but that’s because I like ranch over anything, so I won’t rate the sauce.
Drinks: 1/10 I tried the house margarita, and as a former bar tender, I would recommend that whomever is behind the bar should make sure they are tasting their drinks before they are sent out. It looked so good when it arrived, but it had no flavor and tasted like water with a little bit of tequila. I did not ask for it to be returned and did not inform the bar tender because it’s the house margarita and only $5.50. I will always say something if I pay more than $8 for a drink and it is not made well. I will be back to try it again with a different bar tender because I know people can have an “off” night, and/or some times the house drinks are pre mixed, and I’m hoping that’s all it was. I really want this spot to be good since it’s so close and we really don’t have any great restaurants that we don’t have to drive 20 min to get to, so I am hoping next round will be better and I can update my rating!
Cleanliness: The whole place was super clean and the decor is trendy for a “sports bar” style eatery.
Staff: very friendly!
Service: started off great, but be sure your servers know to check on their tables after the food comes out. We were not checked on until we were half way through our meal.
Overall I’d give our experience a 7.8/10. We’ll definitely be back. I really want to give this place 5 stars.
This was the first time to dine in at this location (we’ve taken food to go a few times) and it was decent. We asked for a table for five and the hostess seemed a bit frazzled about putting two tables together. She was very nice though.
We got seated and our waitress took our drink order, brought them to us, and we asked for a few more minutes to look at the menu. Well that few minutes turned into us having to get up and go hunt her down to order. After that she was very attentive and did a good job at taking care of us.
There is an interesting vibe at this location. Not sure what that is yet, but it was cool to see they had a guy there playing a trivia game with guests over a small PA system. We didn’t stay long enough to play, but it was cool to see.
The food was good. It wasn’t great, but it was good. I’m a burger fan and I tried the Goomba Burger. The menu says it comes with extra bacon and extra cheese, but the only extra that I saw was the grease. It tasted good, but the burger patty was small as well. Tater tots were good, nice and crispy but not over cooked. My wife got a wrap and one of my kiddos got chicken strips and mashed potatoes, which they both liked. My other child got the Mac and cheese and she wasn’t a fan. Not that it wasn’t good, it just wasn’t her favorite.
All in all, we will definitely be back because we live so close.
First time in this location and it was great, very reasonable prices on food and drinks. Service was awesome but one of the beers we got was warm and had to send it back. The nachos are good and the buffalo shrimp was surprisingly tasty!
First time at this new location. We usually go to the one in Katy near Pin Oak. This one is closer to our house.
My wife and I ordered our usual, fried zucchini and Heard that tacos, our favorite. The waiter was prompt and friendly. Our entrée came out first.
This location is larger and nicer/newer. Everything was good and fresh. They had a DJ which was nice.
I am sure we will be back. Great to have a location just down the street. Keep up the good work.
Food are awesome here @S&S. I got surprise my order comes with a knife which is very useful so I can portioned my "Cheat Day" burger because it is huge and worth the price. I really recommend this place especially with friends and families. 🥰
It was lunchtime on Friday and it as pretty quiet. First time visiting and the place was really nice. We had a great waiter who took the time to know us. Chicken buffalo wrap was delish with the sweet potato fries, best I've had! The food was better than I expected and the prices were very reasonable.
Dependable place to get a full meal, grab a bite or drinks. Staff is above and beyond awesome, always refilling drinks, making sure your happy. Lots of TVs so you can sit in the bar or at a table while watching the game. When the weather is nice they have a patio. They have a killer dessert place a few doors down too.
Looks like a nice, modern sports bar that is spacious (not crowded on a Friday afternoon) and has great food and drinks. My wife and I both had the Cobb salad, which was tasty and plentiful. Great ingredients in an eye-pleasing presentation. Service was a little slow considering how uncrowded it was, but our server was helpful and polite. We will be coming back for more since the place is so convenient to our Elyson home.
So my first time here was about two weeks ago, and quite frankly they were not ready to open. It was not a good experience by any means. BUT! I gave it a second shot after they had some time to sort things out. I am currently sitting at the bar happy, the bartenders are very attentive. I just finished the Fire In The Hole burger - very good. The drinks are very reasonably priced, the food is good, and it’s less than 5 minutes away from anyone who lives in Katy Lakes or Elyson. I approve.

I had lunch here before once and wasn't particularly impressed. But I went for Sunday brunch and really enjoyed it. They have a really good version of a Bloody Mary. I feel like the charcuterie board was slightly overpriced for items on it, but it wasn't bad. Will definitely return for brunch. Returned again for dinner on 12/2/23 and had the Fire in the Hole burger and Fries. Although the burger had flavor, the burger patty was 1/4 lb precooked at best! The menu says it is certified Angus beef, but for $14, there should at least be 1/3 lb of beef. The quality of the meat doesn't matter if you can't taste it. When I go back, it will only be for brunch.
Great little place to have a beer or adult beverage with some great pub food. Staff are great being friendly and attentive. Food is excellent from the tacos and burgers to the appetizers. I have not had a bad dish here. Also, plenty of TV's to catch your favorite sports events.
First time visiting. I had some tacos. The were good and the waiter was nice. I will return to try some other items.
First time at S&S, went on a Sunday for brunch after a fun night before. The drinks were great, I had a delicious bloody mary that was on point and my wife had a special martini. The food was great, just what we needed. The fruit tray was perfect along with the WAP tacos! Great options and great atmosphere!
This was my first time here but I have to say I enjoyed the customer service. The food was awesome, and I will definitely be going back. I recommend giving this place a try.
We were in the bldg for a Networking event. It was so much fun! Kenzie was our waitress she was so vibrant, sociable & sweet. Kept checking with us even when we were undecided. She was sooo patient! Thank you for trying my Homemade Pecan Candy! I appreciate your service! Will be back
***UPDATE***
I went again and tried some different items. Their bacon flight was amazing and so was the sauce that came with it! I also had the buffalo chicken appetizer and that was really good too. The chicken wasn’t too breaded. Third appetizer I tried were some fried balls that had mashed potatoes inside. I think they also had mac and cheese inside. The sauce that came with that was definitely not for me. I am not a fan of their mac and cheese but everything else tasted delicious! I believe I chose the wrong burger the first time I went so I am adding one star to my review. Service was really good too. :)
I tried the Mac and cheese burger. It was okay but I expected more flavor/toppings. This place is still getting established and has a limited menu.
