Ashiana Premium Indian Restaurant

I have tried several Indian restaurants around several states but I just say Ashiana lives up to its name. The food, especially the papri chaat, goodness heavens….just too good. Can’t say enough about the lamb biryani, that’s how we like our food, the right heat and full of flavor. Now when it comes to desssssert…. Ras malai was mouth melting and super delicious. Thanks Naveen (hope I got the name right) for your amazing service and making us feel at home.

The rice with the fruit and nuts in it was fantastic, and the main dishes were all really good, although the portions were a little smaller than some other Indian restaurants in the area priced similarly. The staff was friendly and even let us bring in outside food for our daughter who doesn't eat Indian food.

I'm fairly new to the area. Wife and I went for a date. Manager said the restaurant had been recently remodeled. The decor was a little old fashioned but the restaurant was very clean. We were wearing very casual clothing and felt a little under-dressed. Manager and staff were very, very friendly. I am not an expert when it comes to Indian food (it was my wife's first time to try Indian), but I found the portions to be very generous and the taste was great. We ordered Rhogan Josh and Butter Chicken. Similar dishes, both met our expectations. The manager (owner?) couldn't have been more polite. Hot towels afterwards were a nice treat. My only complaint is the price, entrees averaged around $18-$22. We were a little sticker-shocked by that. We will go back for sure, but not as frequently as we would if the prices were about 30% cheaper.

The food was excellent. Everything was very tasty and far from bland like many other places. I can't say I cared for the decor, but that didn't matter to me at all; I go to a restaurant for the food and the service. As long as there aren't roaches or rats, I'm good. The service was very acceptable, I ordered, they brought me food. I will be eating here again soon. Update... It's been 2 years since I initially reviewed this restaurant, and I can still say that this is one of my favorite Indian food joint. I regularly get take out from there for my wife and I.
