Marlana is amazing. Love her bakery. Everything she does is wonderful. We have had the sticky buns, triple berry muffins, breakfast sandwich....Ono for sure. She is such a hard worker. Fulfilling her dream of owning a bakery... Kauai help her make it!
Marlena is kind, hard-working & talented. Picked up a slice of lilikoi cream cake for a friend's bday & she was sweet to write happy bday & his name on it, with a heart! I also picked up a turkey pepper jack sandwich, both were ono!! Friend loved the cake & he is not even that much of a cake lover. Breakfast sandwiches were delicious - we had Portuguese sausage and Spam. The English muffins were a little dense, but had good flavor. The malasadas were huge! Less is more. I was so excited to try these and built up my expectations a bit too much. They were hot and fresh, and tasted good, but again were very dense. It's hard to eat a tennis ball sized ball of fried dough.
The gal behind the counter was delightful and amazingly helpful. This is why it got 4, instead of 3 stars.
Hankering for some wholesome Mac nut banana bread, I found this place and it’s Irish owner to be a breath of fresh air and honesty.
Her banana nut bread is dark and filled with mac nuts in every bite. Delish and not giving me a sugar rush. Great for those are sugar conscious.
The best part I liked about this pastry shop is that everything is made that day. Nothing is prepared beforehand. The pumpkin crunch was both moist and crunchy. It’s perfect for Thanksgiving. Wanted to try the avocado cheesecake but they were out. Next time.
Great bakery! It’s a must visit if you are in Kauai. She makes great malasadas, and delicious sandwiches for you to take on the go. A lot of hard work was put in this business. Stop by and enjoy.

Bakery had multiple types of homemade rolls, breads, and treats, with a number of hot breakfast sandwiches on their homemade english muffins and malasadas made to order every morning. Easy drive from Lihue and very nice owner. Highly recommend.
Just one look at all these beautiful treats and you can plainly tell they are made with love and expertise. It’s a good thing I came in knowing I wanted cheesecake or I’d have been torn between that and a mini banana cream pie for ages. I brought home a slice of their strawberry white chocolate cheesecake… Just heavenly. One of the best desserts I’ve ever eaten. How can something be so creamy rich yet airy at the same time??
The young woman who took my order was lovely and after chatting a bit with the owner, I learned that this bakery was sustained through locals alone during the pandemic. What a tremendous feat and it couldn’t happen to a more deserving business! I wish VIP Treats and Sweets the utmost success for years to come🤍
Went to VIP treats and sweets for our first time to indulge in #Malasadas!! They are served every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 7am-2 or until they sell out!! Locally owned business with lots of choices from fresh breads, pies, cookies and sandwiches. We got to meet the owner and she was very welcoming!! Would definitely recommend for your sweet tooth cravings or party needs.
Amazing bakery! Pumpkin cheesecake was awesome and so is the sourdough loaf. Owner was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend paying it a visit.
