Monicos Taqueria - Kapaa - Photo album

This was amazing. I was recommended the seafood tacos and they were delicious. The staff was very friendly and the outside porch overlooked some horses/cows/donkeys! Great food, staff, and atmosphere. I really loved it here and I will be coming back during my next visit! Thank you so much to th
Best Mexican on the island. Get the monicos surf and turf. Amazing! Dine on the deck for coconut grove and goats views.
The servers were lovely, the place has good atmosphere, even though it is right on the highway, and the food seemed very freshly made. We shared a lava flow, which was delicious, but slightly overpriced. The food was very good, but not as spicy as I expect for Mexican food. Seems to be a favorite of
The place is pricey, but the quality of the food was some of the best Mexican we've had. The homemade taquitos are excellent and the fajitas are fresh and tasty. We actually liked the appetizer taquitos better than the fajitas, but I don't think you can go wrong with anything. The service was also e
Went to dinner here at the suggestion of a local. It was amazing! The food is good, the drinks are great, and we got to watch goats play while we ate dinner (the goats are the highlight of the trip for my 7 year old so far). My only complaint is that the open face shrimp quesadilla needed more shrim
AMAZING FOOD. Passed this place a few times going to and from our activities. Decided to walk over from our place. WE WEREN’T DISAPPOINTED. The food is so good; amazing flavor, good quantity…better than we’d even hoped for. Great staff, awesome patio. All in all, would definitely eat here again.
This place was great. It was a little expensive but definitely quality food and delicious too! We had taquitos and a spinach salad with Hipa fish. The catch of the day fish. It was very good, I scarfed the salad down and helped my fiance with her taquitos, which were delicious as well. Unfortunately
Wonderful time at Monica’s. Had the fish nachos, flautas and fish tacos. Fresh catch was ahi tuna and it was delicious. Big portions. Each of my tacos basically had a tuna steak in it. Nothing here was skimped on. The Paloma and Mai Tai cocktails were good too. Staff was friendly.
Popular Mexican Food hangout for locals. Their seafood is good, but there isn’t a lot of it given Kauai is an island. Pricey for what you get. Can get crowded and there is a wait to get in. Yes, Monica’s Taqueria will charge for your second bowl of chips and salsa, which is insane because all Mexic
I was here a year ago and couldn’t wait to come back. This was one of my bucket list restaurants that I would be devastated to miss on my 2nd stay in Kaua’i. To begin the Staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have a wonderful experience. The food is second to none and
I never thought I would eat authentic and phenomenal Mexican food in Hawaii. This gem has amazing food, fresh ingredients and extremely warm, inviting service. Thank you Holly(sorry as I didn’t ask for the spelling) and my utmost appreciation to the chefs for potentially the best Mexican food I have
Wow, not your typical Mex Joint! We enjoyed their version of "surf and turf". And the carne asada was delectable - pan-crisped with just enough fat to make you swoon, add a shrimp or two, a scallop and some fresh Ono and you are in foodie heaven. Good service and capable bartender.
Seafood burrito was really good, id try their fajitas next time. No chips and salsa to start. 9 dollhairs if. Got noisey inside with screaming kids but outside was fine. We could watch the cooks from where we sat, one of em was the owner/ father. Very friendly. Very involved.
We were looking for Mexican food on our way back from Princeville and this restaurant came up. Overall good and food was served fast. Surprised with no chips or salsa unless you asked but a good place to eat.
A really solid choice for a Mexican meal, so long as you're happy to pay the prices! (There's way cheaper taco trucks around but this is a good restaurant experience) There is seating inside and out (watch the goats in the field next door!), And a large menu of choice. We had the fajitas, chips and
Very delicious Mexican restaurant! We started with the chips and salsa, which had 3 different types of salsa and varying spiciness levels. The atmosphere and service were also exceptional. Then we ordered chicken fajitas and fajitas Al Pastor, which had so much flavor and just the right amount of sp
Went for Hh and to watch MLB playoffs at 4 pm. Ample seating inside and out. Everyone was so friendly and the Al Pastor Nachos were so good I ate WAY more than I should have. Also the red sangria tasted just like home:)
This was one of our favorite dinners we had in Kauai! Food was awesome- got the shrimp fajitas and the veggies were so fresh and delish! Margs were amazing! Sierra was a great server! Would definitely go back!
This place has Great service. They have a nice outdoor seating area which is my favorite at sunset with excellent fajitas and a great margarita or draft beer. Try the Spinach Salad with Blackened fish and liliquoi dressing it is my favorite.
