Inspired to review purely because of the bartender Saturday night who, when I asked if I could have an old cork because I lost and earring back, carefully cut one up to the right size and lamented the fact that she couldn't give me one of the many extra backings she had at home. I hate that I don't know her name, but she's the best and I love her. Totally made my night more relaxing. And the cork lasted all night!

The staff are exceptionally kind and helpful. The best atmosphere and staff out of all the Kansas City venues! Security don’t make you feel rushed and are there to get you in and out safely, not to impose on your night. Lost my car keys and the bar and security staff helped me look for and find a tiny car key in the huge venue, and were happy to do so. I wish all my favorite bands came through this venue. Despite being busy, bartenders took the time to give great service and make good drinks without making us feel like an annoyance.

Fun little venue for live music. We decided to pop in and go see an 80's alternative cover band called Trash Night. The drinks were good. I don't think they serve food. It was really fun.

They no longer serve food and I swear the venue is like 1/2 the size it used to be. It's a nice intimate place for a concert but some people just can't behave themselves.... Security handled the offender as well as could be expected and it could've been worse for downtown. Still not a great experience during a show, unfortunately. Props to the sound people for actually making the music better and not just louder!🤘🏽

We had a great time. There was a live Latin band and a full bar, plus a Colombian food truck right out front. There were some hiccups with these sound systems but I assume that isn't a common thing. The staff from security to bartenders were very friendly.

Food not available here. - I brought in a Clif bar Bar service was prompt and friendly. Saw Liam St. John and his touring pals on a Sunday show. It was a great show, very cool atmosphere very personal. Got to meet the performing artists on the line up. Would go back to this venue

They weren't serving food tonight. I was there. I was kind of disappointed at a really wanted to try it but totally understood. Had some great bands playing these few weeks. Perry tidal wave and junkyard royalty! Very fun place. Great energy

Went for IAMX. Was able to pre-arrange Accessibility Seating. Had a lovely time in the mezzanine seating that is 21+ Of note, the bathroom is located in the path of the green room. So performers really need that area free of traffic.

Bartenders were quick and attentive and happy. Drinks weren't over priced, very average if not slightly below average for KC. Great atmosphere. Going to concerts in your 40's is a much more enjoyable experience than in your teens and 20's. Everyone just rocks out in their own little bubble and you don't have sweaty, dirty, drunk people flailing their shirtless bodies' all about. I've been to Record Bar for many shows and it's high on my list of favorite concert venues. Oh and Geoff Rickly and Sparta were killer!!

Great venue for more intimate concerts. The staff are friendly and not a long wait at the bar. The sound system is good and the bands they bring are eclectic. We had an enjoyable evening ! 🙂🎶✨💖
