My daughter and I came here to have breakfast on father's day. I forgot my wallet but the owner offered to comp us so I didn't have to go back home. Delicious donuts and fantastic customer service. This was already our go-to donut shop but the kindness from the owners today really put it over the top. Thank you guys for helping my daughter and I have a great start to father's day.
I've been a patron since 1982 while in Kindergarten. Mornings with these doughnuts have always been and will remain a delicious and special treat. Headed there in 10 minutes to pick up a dozen for a co-worker's birthday. Best shop in Kansas City and well worth the drive. Get some! �
Always good donuts from this place. Alot of the donuts taste exactly the same as when I was a kid. In fact, Ridgewood was my very first job when I was 14..I ran the register and helped customers. Awesome experience for a kid I must say.. but anyway. All the donuts were fresh and fairly priced. I'll be coming back again and again.
Of all the donuts shops I have patronized I have to say, this is my favorite. Outstanding donuts and friendly employees. Their Bavarian cream filled Bismark is the best I have ever had.
I have lived literally steps from the Doughnut shop for a year and today is my first time trying them. Delicious!! Oh hope that I don’t get fluffier! You need to try it!
Donuts are big and good. The best I've found in Independence so far.
I see that people are concerned with the price. They are higher, but I cut my donuts in half which equals 1 donut from elsewhere. It takes me two settings to eat 1 donut. I split the apple fritters with my neighbor! I guess we're too cheap to buy 2! Ha ha. Try them, you'll like them!
The donuts were delicious and fresh. They had a large selection and the prices were great. There was only one person working the counter but she was so nice and very fast.
Seriously one of my favorite places to get donuts. We’ve been going here since we were kids. Get there early on the weekends or you’ll miss out!
AMAZING donuts! And such a great price. The mocha and old fashioneds are the best I've had. Next time, I think I will try the banana split (I love the ice cream and the donut looks really good). They even have a tree that they decorate with the seasons... Sorry for the late Easter pic

Greeted as soon as I stepped in. I had to get up early this beautiful Saturday morning because when I was arriving home at 2a.m I could see the wonderful donuts baker's working. My great idea is to go early, the display case was fully stocked my families order included culler, key lime filled, raspberry filled, chocolate cake w/icing, and of course who doesn't like a great glazed donuts😊
I believe it was the owner that checked me out, he explained to me that for my 1st time I had to try their delicious Apple fritter, and proceed to bag me one up at no additional charge. Nice welcome gift. Everything was great and I would definitely recommend Ridgewood Donuts.
