Fantastic KC Strip. Mashed potatoes, coleslaw or fries on the side...oh my! Live music in a family-friendly venue with organic, well-made food, All-Star Cafe is a place that I'd confidently recommend to anyone.
Most amazing food I've had in at least a year! I had the philly cheese sandwich. The prime ribs that go in this were perfectly cooked, seasoned, greasy, and piping hot. You can tell they make everything IN HOUSE, just like the extremely kind and attentive host said. They even make their own pickles.
Hands down some of the best food I've ever had. Fresh and house made. You can't beat it. I definitely recommend their chili poppers and the pulled pork sammie. Their turkey wrap is also pretty good.
Wow, the food was great and I love this place because they support local music. I've seen quite a few shows at the All Star!
My KC based Metal band Into Existence has had the opportunity to play the stage at All Star a few times and it's always turned out to be a great night! If you're a local, regional or national act, be sure to hit them up if you're coming through Kansas City!

I had to compliment the chef, who then explained that the meats are cured and smoked in house.....which explains why it all tasted so great....this was their BLT
The food and service is uaually good. Wish they would have better band options vs hard hard metal most always.
After a 14 hr day and 700+ miles headed home, we stopped in for a bite to eat and some drinks. First off, they were some of the best drinks I’ve had. It was the servers first night and when she started taking our food order, the bartender came over and said the kitchen had been closed but the fryer
Food was delicious, and made from scratch. We ordered burgers with fries, and even fries was delicious. They had live music, and sound was great. Bartenders are cool :-)
Service is fast. I strongly recommend this place. Will come back again next time we visit Kansas City.
