Reviews Mr Le's Sushi

We keep coming back for sushi -- fresh ingredients, the rice is seasoned perfectly, and the rolls that are deep fried are pleasantly light. (Have you ever had a deep fried roll where they used really old oil?? -- horrible.) We have not found any other sushi restaurant that has a better tasting, better selection, or better service that Mr. Lees. We rate Mr. Le's 5 star for his sushi, the best in Kansas City. (Truthfully, we haven't tried the other menus because great sushi is hard to find!)

Love this place. Been coming here for years now and it never disappoints. Lunch rush can slow service but the staff is always friendly and the food is always delicious. Such good, simple, sushi.

Best sushi in town IMO. I've been to lots of places and I always recommend Mr Le's to all my friends. So friendly and great food! Even if you don't like sushi there is a huge selection of Chinese dishes, Pho, and teriyaki dishes. Spicy tuna roll is the best I've ever had! My BF loves the Mike roll since he hates nori.

My favorite sushi place! It's the only sushi place that I keep coming back to. My faves are Volcano roll and their Magic Mushrooms and more actually

Service is what got 5 stars for me. Excellent. The food was great. Served timely and decent value. I will definitely go again. (I'm not a sushi lover - was there with others. And I was quite pleased with my non-sushi selection. Great job Mr.Le's!!!

I was recently introduced to this place through some friends a little over a month ago and I have already been 3 times. I am a pho regular and their sushi is amazing! Super friendly. Great service. Reasonably priced.

I don't eat sushi but my daughter loves it. So I always get the #10, vermicelli with eggroll, extra peanut sauce. It's so good! I also love the calamari with spicy mayo.

This place is aptly called, “the best kept secret of Kansas”. Food was delicious, the fish was fresh, beyond our expectations. We ordered granny roll and assorted sushi. The Salmon nigiri was the favorite of all, it just melted in mouth. Will definitely come back.

Great little hole-in-the-wall family restaurant for pho and sushi. I’ve been going here for years and will continue to as the prices are fair and the food delicious. The bento boxes are excellent for lunch and the Banh Tom (sweet potatoes with shrimp) sooo good. The pho is also a favorite!

We stopped by accident in our way back home. What a great idea!! Food is tasty and fresh. The Chicken general tso was one of my hubby fav. I got the avo and cali roll with good quantity of ingredients and fresh made. We liked the complementary salad and miso soup. The service was good. We will come back.

I've been eating here for several years, always great food and great service. Hands down the best Sushi in the area. Always greeted with a smile. The place is always clean, with a simple relaxed environment and friendly staff. Ive eaten in and got food to go, usually takes about 20 ish minutes for them to get my order ready (single person order), so I just call when I'm about 20 minutes away and it's ready when I show up.

We've been wanting to try Mr Le's since before the pandemic...it was worth the wait. From the yummy complimentary soup or salads and the crab Rangoon, to the raw and fried sushi rolls, everything we had was fresh, tasty, and priced well. What impressed us even more than the food was the service. My 21 year old daughter is deathly allergic to peanuts which we shared with the wait staff. Not only did they assure us there was not a peanut to be found in the restaurant (that also serves some Chinese and Vietnamese dishes), but they checked to ensure the oil they used was safe as well! Kind, friendly, and super helpful! So, my daughter was able to eat her first Chinese entree at a restaurant EVER!! We can't wait to return. Thank you!

I’m from NY so finding decent sushi out here has been hard! We stumbled across this place and I can say 10/10 definitely recommend. Staff was very friendly, you are greeted and told to sit anywhere. The atmosphere is soft and quiet even when it is busy which is nice so you can actually talk without screaming and hear the people you are with. We went 2 times in 1 week when I first found this place. Everything is fresh and delicious. Definitely will be returning!

Great place to get sushi. Walked in with my friend and I found it hard to believe it was a sushi place (not as atmospheric as other places I have been). The particular booth we sat in, the seats sank in, but I loved the open and light feel of the location (lots of big windows to let in natural light). Lastly, the main reason you go to a restaurant is food and "oh boy" did they nail it! Presentation is very well done, the dressings are really well laid out, and the flavor pops no matter what you get. Overall, I am pleased with my experience, and I want to go back again some time!

So much to rave about! The miso soup and onion soup were so tasty (hot and flavorful). My friends said that the salad dressing is the best they have ever had (which is a strange thing to specifically comment on for a restaurant but they insisted!). Lots of sushi options and I liked them all. Very laid back atmosphere and friendly staff. We ended up taking some extra sushi home 😊

First time there, and it lived up to the good reviews. Was just me and one of my sons, and we totally over ordered, but it was all good, and now he has lunch for tomorrow! I love their salad dressing.

In town for a family party and stopped by Me. Le’s for dinner tonight. Had sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and onion soup. Outstanding! Loved the flavor of the soup. The fried rice reminded me of my time in Japan. And the sweet and sour chicken was hot and fresh. Staff was attentive and nice. We enjoyed our meal. Will have to come again when I’m back this way. Just what we needed on a cold night. I started eating before I took this picture.

I've had sushi all across North America and this is one of the best places I've ever had it. The staff are great, absolutely care about their customers. I'll go again for sure.

It was pretty good! Went in about an hour before they close and it was kinda awkward. They were putting the chairs up and cleaning so not alot of noise, everyone could here everyone's conversations. Would go back for the salmon nigiri!

Wow. This could be the best little sushi place outside of California. It sits in a shopping center that time forgot. The atmosphere inside gives more of a Chinese restaurant vibe, but don't let that fool you. Get there when they open or be prepared to wait for a table.

I've been eating here for almost 12 years. Like my first ever paycheck went to this place. It's so good, the original staff will be in my will. I'll probably eat here until I die. I gotta say though, the new decor is..... rough. It's very.... Walmart bathroom section. It's giving "new management" in a bad way. It's weird and it doesn't fit the vibe at all. I think I'll be getting take out until it's gone. Update: The weird bathroom decor is gone, and world peace has been restored.
