This place has great atmosphere, reasonable prices, fabulous food & great staff! When I say fabulous food, it doesn't quite drive home the point, it's affordable gourmet, interesting & fresh ideas. Sunday brunch is on a planet all of its own though, who can beat bottomless mimosas & bloody mary bar? Plus great food in the brunch buffet? Destination awesome!
What a great place that is kind of off the radar.
First off The waitress was very good. She was there but you didn't notice her.
Second, the Chef Salad was fantastic
We enjoyed the Shrimp and Crab Dip.
My blacken chicken linguine was fantastic. Just a little heat and the chicken was not dry, like most restaurants fix it. Other restaurants want that chicken dead, and I mean completely dead almost like dried out.
The Chocolate Cheese Cake crunch was to die for.
Thank you for such an enjoyable meal and no need to go to the Cheesecake Factory for Cheesecake.
We will definitely be back.
When I tell you this is some good eating, it sure is. The food is nicely presented and fulfilling. You must be crazy not to like this place. The prices are fairly well. Also, the waitresses are awesome. In my opinion the best in KC. My only concern/problem were the fries which seemed like they were fried too long. But other than that this place is great.
This place was so wonderful! The food was so flavorful and delicious. The service was excellent as well. Both of the servers working this day were happy to help us. The appetizers we chose were the smoked salmon and beef crostini. Both were absolutely delicious! My boyfriend got corned beef and cabbage (which was a St. Patty's day Special) and I got the BC salad, which is also on their Sunday brunch menu. Please try this locally owned business!! They deserve your support and loyalty!

Had heard good reviews about the restaurant and finally tried it today for lunch and it was great. Salmon & warm goat cheese salad was a delight and service friendly. Will be back!
I've been to BC Bistro several times. Each time I chose a different entree. Everything I have eaten has been wonderful. My favorite is the shrimp and crab dip with pita bread for appetizer. Defiantly would recommend this place for families or to celebrate a special occasion.
Another great option in the Northland. I am so glad I tried BC Bistro tonight. I brought my two kids and they loved the mac and cheese and I was impressed the fresh fruit came with strawberries and kiwi! I ordered the greek salad and all the greens were fresh and the marinated shrimp were a lovely touch and popped with flavor. We finished off with the white chocolate cinnamon bread pudding and I was only going to have a bite and let the kids finish the rest...yeah....I ate most of it. I did not drink since I was with the kids, but it looked like it also had a very creative and extensive drink menu with some great specials. Service was great, but not many diners....hope it stays open!
Awesome food and dining experience. Staff is wonderful and so is the atmosphere. Can't wait to come back.
So the first thing I have to say about this place is the staff is phenomenal I'm one of the people who manage to drink a lot of water throughout the entire meal and never once did I want for a refill they were already bringing it or filling the glass as the thought arose and for me that is simply amazing. Not to be outdone by the level of service the food was equally fantastic I got their shrimp and crab dip for a starter if you love crab rangoon or just love crab and shrimp you will love this dip and they give you enough for two or three people.
Their soup of the day was also extremely good lots of flavor there was chicken in every bite, and the French dip was perfection, the flavor was spectacular the meat was cooked perfectly absolutely 100% recommend it.
Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a good date night or if you're just looking for a casual dinner the atmosphere is wonderful.
I don't even live in KC and ate here no less than 5 times this year, it's a must when in KC. The queso broccoli is sooo good, do not sleep on it. Seems to be a scratch everything kitchen...not had a bad side, main or appetizer. Plus very reasonable on price, place is always busy no matter time of day or day of week. Oh and French Dip had multiple times, damn good!
Came here for dinner! I got the mozzarella sticks for an appetizer with ranch and mariners sauce. They were home made so good. The breading was flavorful and had a crisp to it and the ranch was homemade as well. I got the Blackened Chicken Linguini for my meal. It was amazing! Probably one of the best pasta meals I have had at a restaurant. Highly recommend the appetizer and entree.
The staff were very friendly, and quick with the drink refills. Can’t wait to go back!
This place is like a Diamond in the rough of restaurants! 5 of us dined in for a birthday and 4/5 of us had a genuinely great experience. We highly recommend the jumbo wings in sweet chili sauce, and the brownie Sunday dessert! The waitresses were very kind and helped each other out.
Our only issue was when the cook sent out visibly inedible food (see asparagus photo), and when the portion of our $18 lobster Mac was a size meant for a child.
Other than that this place is somewhere we would visit again and just stick with the menu items that are simple yet delicious. Oh and also, PLENTY of GLUTEN FREE options!
I called in two orders to bring home, chicken fried chicken with potatoes and gravy, green beans.
The dinners were delicious, well above par. The portions were extremely generous, we will finish them tonight, enough for a second dinner. I’ll fix salads with them. Never dined there, saw their ad on Facebook and it looked good… it was 😊 price was about where other places are. Thanks for a great meal..meals. Oh, the green beans and ham were about the best I’ve ever had.

My husband and I both had the seafood pasta and it was delicious. We also shared the bread pudding and it was fabulous. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!!!
I have driven by this place many many times but finally decided to go in and I'm so glad that I did. Everything that I've ever eaten there is always been fantastic. Particularly the lobster mac and cheese. The drinks fantastic the service fantastic. They even have a fair share of televisions around the restaurant if you are interested in watching the game can see that I will soon be considered a regular.
For a restaurant in a non-descript strip mall in north KC, our meal was a surprising delight. Perfectly grilled chicken with a nicely tangy Caesar dressing enlivened the chicken Caesar salad entree. Chicken salad on croissant was obviously house made and tasty. Homemade fries quite tasty! Service was very attentive. After asking for a glass for my 1st beer (Boulevard Tank 7, awesome!), second beer was delivered already poured. Truly delightful experience.

I read that BC Bistro was a hidden gem, and that was an understatement. From entrance to exit, I was impressed. I was so impressed that I had to nitpick to find any flaws.
The service was very good in all facets. Hostess, food runner, waitress, and bartender.
We came on Friday night, and it was fairly busy, but we didn't have to wait to be sat. We sat in the dining area. There were tv's all along the wall, but the walls were decorated with artwork that made it feel more homey than the sports bar. We ordered drinks and entrees all together. After we ordered, we decided on getting the calamari appetizer, so we told the waitress who brought our drinks. I fully expected the calamari to come out either with our food or right before. The app came out within minutes, it seemed. It was hot, fresh, lightly battered, and delicious. We smashed the app at a leisurely pace, and then the food came out also hot, fresh, and delicious. Timed perfectly. My wife ordered the seafood pasta, my son the French dip (au jus was a bit salty), and I ordered the crab crusted salmon. I can't say enough about the obvious quality of our meals. Good portions, fresh ingredients, and it was all cooked to perfection. The flavors of my meal were incredible! You know how it is when you have to close your eyes and tilt your head back a bit while you Mmmmmm to yourself? Yep, that was it! I wanted to lick the plate, but I kept my composure. I had strawberry cheesecake for dessert. 10/10. My son got the brownie sundae 10/10, i think, and my wife, the new York cheesecake with chocolate. 5/10. Guys, where the heck are y'all getting your strawberries because they were sooo good! Sweet and fresh like they were out of a spring garden. But it's the end of winter.
This little spot off the beaten path is WELL worth the little detour. I wouldn't be surprised to see it as a top eatery if they keep up the great work.
Pineapple Jalepeño Margarita was awesome & Chicken fried streak special was fantastic! Great recommendation and super nice owners and locals to chat with. Very glad I came here as a solo work trip traveler for dinner.
