This is the best Italian food in Kansas City! Love the homemade gnocchi on Thursdays and their pizzas and their sandwiches!

Best Italian food I have had in KC. It really gives an authentic taste of Italy and the food takes me back to my vacation in Venice and I love that. I love the margherita pizza and love the fact that they have authentic Italian products especially Nutella and polenta.:)

I was there when Jake first opened the doors to Bella Napoli. While I don't live in KC anymore, I love coming home, and visiting Jake and Bella Napoli is one of the first things I do. It's like I never left when I enter those doors! Everyone is family! Congratulations on 15 years!!!! ❤️

This is the most authentic Italian in KC. All the critical ingredients come from Italy - and there's a market for you to buy grocery items to cook with at home, too. We spend nearly every Friday night there and Jake treats us like family. Don't miss out on this Brookside gem.

Best Pizza in the entire KC/JOCO metro. Yep I said it. Now the disclaimer...this is not your run of the mill pizza. There is nothing wrong with the folks that love the Waldo Pizza's and Minsky's of the area. I do too! However, Bella Napoli serves Italy. It redefines specialty pizza in the simplest way without even a hint of pretentiousness. If you are a fan of Spin this is a must try. Similar in style, but much more authentic Italy.
The place is small and quaint with excellent service. There is also a small grocery store attached with some great specialty items and terrific wines. Just go there. You're welcome.
Little small and cramped since there is a little market inside, but my sandwich and coffee were really good. The service was friendly and the food wasn't too expensive. I would go back.
Best and most authentic Italian food in Kc area. The house made pastas. Amazing cheese (burrata) and prosciutto. The grilled eggplant and peppers.yum. True Napoleon style pizza. Fresh and creative salads. I have dreams of the lasagna. It doesn't get any better.
Happening Place. Bella Napoli is a happening place at lunchtime. The neighborhood crowd and local business people fill the place up with greetings and laughter while they lunch on terrific soup, salads, pasta and sandwiches. My meatball panini was world class. The service was fast and friendly. If I wasn't so anchored in the suburbs I'd move to Brookside just to be close to Bella Napoli.
I LOVE Bella Napoli! The sandwiches, the Rigatoni Amatriciana, the Crostino Romano, all favorites of mine, but the pizza...The Alessando (pancetta and artichoke) is probably my favorite pizza in KC second only to the special pizza with cherry tomatoes and arugula I had a couple of times last summer. Monday night is $5 pizza night; it's super-busy, but it's fun to have a glass of wine while you wait. Also, I must mention the deli/grocery area. A great selection of meats, cheeses and pastas. Love, love, love Bella Napoli!
It is the number one Italian restaurant in KC. Authentic. Like family. The food is consistently excellent. A slice of Italy in our backyard.
OMG eat a sandwich. This place is the real deal. GREAT Italian sandwiches. Good little market, too. I just wish it was bigger! I live in Dallas but whenever I am in KC I try to stop here for a sandwich before the long drive back. Seriously good stuff. And the staff are friendly, chatty and full of humor. It's refreshing to see people enjoying what they do.

The locals know. Bella Napoli is an Italian grocery/coffee house/restaurant and is the best sandwich place around. The sandwiches are limited to subs, but the bread is fantastic and the varieties they offer are super tasty! Stick around awhile and enjoy a cappuccino, too. The folks are super friendly here, and lots of people are regulars.
The pizza is very much in the Italian style -- thin crust and a bit sparing with the sauce. Americans could go either way on this, but it reminded me a lot of what I got in The Old Country.
Perfect Italian. Bella Napoli is always the most delicious, most fresh, and most satisfying Italian food I have in Kansas City. Having spent much time in Italy, I can say that this comes closest to Italian sensibilities. The past melts in your mouth. The tomato sauce is light and flavorful. Their pizzas are substantially better than those of Blue Grotto that supposedly specializes in this style of pizza but doesn't come close to Bella Napoli, I've noticed that the couple of hostile reviews on this board have come from Texans...I'm not sure what that's about. I've never had a complaint about Bella Napoli.
Neighborhood gem. At long last, we tried Bella Napoli. What a nice place. Good service, a comfortable atmosphere, and very good food at reasonable prices. The grilled vegetables (zucchinni, eggplant, and red peppers were a perfect start. Drizzled in olive oil, the veggies were fresh and tasty. My wife tried cappellini warped in egg plant, and I tagliatelle. We're returning, and soon!
Great food and a nice atmosphere. It has that bakery/market type feel. Great food and service as well. Would definitely go back there for some great Italian food and a small restaurant atmosphere.

Yum,yum, YUM. I have eaten at Bella Napoli for lunch several times in their deli section and always wonder to myself why I don't eat there more often. I finally made it in for dinner tonight, and can't wait to go back! The food and the service was amazing!
Just go eat here. Don't be shy. Go a couple of times. Get a sandwich. Buy some groceries. Come back and have a pizza and glass of wine. It's fantastic. Really. If you like food, you'll do it.
Took me back to Italy. Went Monday for $5 dollars off pizza day and tried a couple of the pizzas. They have Diavola something I have not seen since Venice and it tasted just like I remembered . For authentic Italian pizza this is the place to go.
Unexpected Delight. My wife and I were looking for a different bistro for lunch and when we couldn't find it decided to try Bella Napoli. How delighted we were to have been lost. A lunch of a shared caprese salad and pizza convinced us to return the next evening with our adult children for dinner. Everyone was delighted with their choice, service and atmosphere. Bella Napoli has earned a spot on our short go to list of fun and delightful bistros that leave us satisfied and happy.
My friend who spent 12 years in Naples Italy loved the place. We had the Napoli sandwich and it was wonderful. Bought dessert to go.
The sandwich of the God's!!!. By now you should all know what a great place this is for coffee and some coffeecake but, what you may not know is THE best sandwich in town comes from this place wrapped up in white butcher paper!! I don't care which one you order-they're all the best-get the works on it if you can stand spicy stuff!
Amazing authentic Italian food! I love that this is a family owned place, you can really tell they love what they do by the taste of the food! Also, the espresso martini was the best one I've ever had anywhere. I was seriously impressed. The arrenchini is of course delicious as were the other appetizers we ordered and the pizza! I really don't think you can do wrong, I think everything on the menu would be delicious!
Lovely neighborhood Italian restaurant. I really enjoy the vibe of the area and this restaurant has a nice outdoor seating area as well. I would say it’s cozy with very friendly service. My wife and I are always excited when arancini is on the menu so we had to order it. I had the Quattro Formaggi pizza. I enjoyed both items but wasn’t blown away. However, I did enjoy our overall experience and I feel like if we lived nearby we would dine here more frequently.
Everything about the experience was amazing. The wonderful customer service, the adorably comfortable decor, and the delicious and authentic food. Everything was just perfect! Our server was the absolute sweetest girl you’ll ever meet, she even made a little heart in my cappuccino. The food came out quickly and the quality was top notch. I meant to take pictures right when we got the food, but I got so enticed by the smell alone that I couldn’t resist eating a bit before snapping my photos. If you’re looking for diverse and authentic Italian food, you should absolutely come here. I may not be a KC local, but you better believe I’ll be coming back soon. Especially for that decadent tiramisu 🤤
A humble, incredible Italian restaurant disguised as a quaint neighborhood market. The food is perfect - the best lasagna bolognese I've had outside of Bologna, homestyle arancini, perfectly spicy amatriciana with guanciale 🤌🏻 Great cocktails and warm, welcoming service from everyone we interacted with. I'm so delighted to have this lovely neighborhood restaurant in KC.
Quaint, friendly bustling place with legit Italian environment and fantastic art throughout. Plus a variety of Italian market items. I'll review again when we go back for dinner!
We've been here several times and we will indeed be back. I love the atmosphere and their food is genuinely amazing. Staff is always on point and generous and helpful.
Monday pizza special $8. I got the capriciossa pizza (I’m more of a stuffed crust pizza gal ;)) Son got the scoglio, husband got the Branzino. Pizza crust was a bit on the burnt side for my taste, fish was delicious with a citrus flavor, pasta was very flavorful shrimp and clams were very fresh and not chewy. Pistachio cheesecake was superb!! (I’m obsessed with pistachios) Service was great!Very attentive, fast and accurate.
Drove 30 minutes with my wife and 3 little kids just to give a try to Bella Napoli.
I am 100% Italian and for long time I tried to find a good and authentic Italian Restaurant and I always had no luck; but I am very happy to say that I found my favorite Italian Restaurant in Kansas and Missouri!!!
This place is my home far from home: nice location, easy way to find parking, friendly staff and beautiful environment.
Food tastes just like home: good choice on the menu for food and drinks!!
And there is also a nice area to buy grocery with authentic Italian products.
Had the pleasure to meet and talk with Jake, and speaking in Italian even if it was the first time meeting it looked like talking to a good and old friend!!
I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to try the Italian tradition.

The food was delicious. We shared a fig salad and they brought it out in two separate bowls. That was a nice surprise. The tortellini was very good as well. Great flavor. The staff was pleasant, once we got seated.
Most authentic recipes I've geen able to find in town. Had the Carbonara and Bruschetta, and it was delicious!!! Throwing selection is from small Italian vineyards only and was outstanding! The service and knowledge of our waiter was top notch. I would recommend this for anybody looking for great Pizza and Italian food
Was quoted 1.5 hours wait time for Saturday dinner, but we were seated in 50 mins. Great service, because once I complained about the ragu not being al dente they re-made it for me (however the portion significantly shrunk…) Highly recommend the pistachio cheesecake and house-made tiramisu. The cannoli shell is too hard and the filling too lumpy for my taste.
Wonderful experience with amazing food! Our waitress was helpful in recommending dishes and wine. Make sure to make reservations in advance, especially for larger groups as it is a small restaurant
Love the market vibe and the cozy feel eating here. Food tastes fresh and homemade. Both my wife and I had the eggplant parmigiana…and it was good. Probably our second favorite Italian spot behind Ragazza, who has the best eggplant parmigiana in all of KC. Would totally recommend trying this place whether you’re already in brookside or looking for somewhere new.
I recently visited again and their service and atmosphere were stellar.
Food was a solid 4 because I feel they should focus more on the "staple" Italian dishes and less on the "out there" ones that appeal to very few.
We recently moved to Brookside and Bell Napoli was highly recommended by a number of our friends. For the past two weekends I have eaten there with family and each time the food has been amazing !! I highly recommend having dinner there!!
