It's a great place to drink a large variety of good beer and the best pretzels anywhere! Knowledgeable and friendly staff, incredible selection of craft beer, the manager is helpful and goes above and beyond! It's kinda like Cheers bar only better!!!

The loaded fries appetizer is awesome. I should have ordered on for my meal, but I needed to try a burger. The San Miguel burger was perfect with the fried egg and avocado. We had 4 of the Chicken sandwiches with bacon on them at our table as well that I hear were excellent too. The Bloody Mary is a little weak but very tasty. We arrived at 4 pm on a Saturday and had our choice of seating, no waiting. Great service and location.

This is my go to bar in KC. Great staff, food, music (at a reasonable level - can still hear people talk) and an amazing beer selection. I love coming during the week nights - such a relaxed environment. Sometimes I'll bring my computer and work on some projects while having a beer or two. Or play some darts. Or watch some KC sports on the projector. And - this is one of the few places in town that always has a great special. Every single day (all day) you can get a pint of something good for $3.50 or less. No complaints here.

Had a great experience. Sampled several wonderful beers, ordered a pub food staple (Shepard pie) which was as good as I've ever had, staff was responsive, helpful, polite and efficient. I'm a visitor to KC but not new to the Flying Saucer chain. I've enjoyed the Flying Saucer in Columbia, SC, several times, and was very happy to find one in KC.

Excellent selection of beer. Large amount of drafts to choose from. Nice patio outside. $4 taps during happy hour (4pm to 7pm on Tuesday through Friday). Food was good. About what you'd expect frin a beer establishment. Neat ambiance inside.

Good food and an amazing selection of rotating draughts with plenty more bottles and cans. Happy Hour until 7 weekdays. $3 any pint night Mondays. Pub glass night Wednesdays. The UFO club is so fun! A real challenge and a great reason to keep coming back.

Is this heaven? Amazing drought beer selection. Didn't try the food, and why would you? With a beer selection like this, no need to look further. Monday night $3 pint night can't be beat.

Love this place! Cozy atmosphere, great staff, TONS of beer options. Feeling up to the challenge? Join the UFO Club and get your name on the wall (gotta drink 200 beers, Good luck!)

Unique is a word. The only downside (so far) is the "Seat yourself" method. Which - when busy - leaves muchvto be desired. Tables are often dirty, but you have to grab an empty when you have to. Food is good. Beer selection just right. Once you do get a server food times are fairly fast.

I live in the suburbs, but I regularly make the trip downtown just to visit Flying Saucer. I joined the UFO Club along with my friend so we could drink 200 beers and get our plates on the wall. We eventually finished the challenge (plates 833 and 834 if you care... you don't, it's fine) and during that three year period we obviously visited Flying Saucer often. Flying Saucer is a great place to go if you like craft and import beer. They have plenty of it and their happy hour/Sunday and Monday deals can't be beat. They also have great food that includes burgers, sandwiches, pizzas (my favorite), and some German options as well. The service is also very consistent. It's slower during busy times (Sprint Center or convention center events), but that's going to happen anywhere. Overall everyone there was great and we always left happy. I wish I could remember his name, but the guy who helped us during our plate party did a fantastic job keeping everyone's orders and tabs in line. Overall, Flying Saucer is a great place to go to hang out, have a few beers, eat some good food and hangout with friends. Even though I accomplished my plate goal, I'll keep coming back regularly.

Friendly, lively, hip bar with 200 beers on offer. The gimmick is that if you drink all 200, you earn a “flying saucer” with your name on it that is mounted on the wall — but you can only register 3 drinks per night.
