Walked here from my place close by on a Saturday at 8:30 pm. Ordered a plain hamburger, fries, and strawberry cake. I was told it would be 15 minutes. It took about 10 minutes for my food to be ready. The woman taking the orders was polite, the service was fast, and the food was great. I agree with
Arrived on a Friday night after midnight. Dining room was closed so the only option was takeout. There was a 30 minute wait and it was 30 degrees outside. The lady who served me said it was cool to wait in the car and come back. That worked out well because I’m a wimp when it comes to cold weather.
Delicious classic diner! 😋 Perfectly cooked burgers that come out crispy and juicy and served diner style with grilled onions. The service is quick and friendly in this cozy space that feels like stepping into a piece of Americana history. If you have room for dessert, the pie selection is amazing a
These smashburgers are definitely the talk of the town. Also, a big selection of fresh pies, too! The Key Lime was fantastic. Be prepared for lines... especially after a Chiefs game.
The vibe is definitely a college town during the evenings. But the burger and fries are juicy, a pleasant guilty pleasure, and insatiably irresistible. Would definitely come back if I stop by again
Amazing place with amazing food. Vibes of a waffle house or old white castle. Always very busy but worth the wait. Try the chocolate cake if you still have room!
Wow! I'm giving 5X Stars to the HayStack on Texas toast, with fried egg, cheese, hash browns and I chose sausage! Fun times, service was great! Immediate greet by Paola and Leslie took our order. Both gracious, upbeat and easy to talk to! What more can you ask for? Hurry on over to Town Topic
What a great place! Open since 1937 and it's not hard to see why. I suspect there's nothing bad on the menu but we got the pork tenderloin sandwich and the patty melt, onion rings and strawberry rhubarb pie. Fantastic.
A Kansas City icon. And rightly so. The hamburgers are great, but breakfast is better. Made from scratch, biscuits and gravy are the best in KC. Of course, eating at the bar and having a conversation with the grill cook is priceless.
I can't say enough about how much I love the food. They're the perfect old-school burger joint. They're open all night with a walk-up window. An absolute gem of local Kansas City food. Weekend nights, especially during the summer, prepare for long lines and a very rowdy crowd.
Incredible food for reasonable prices. I ordered a 1/4 lb chili cheese coney which came sliced up in a burger bun.
The burger is great. Not sure exactly what they do but it's some magic in how they grill up the onions. Wish I had got another one it was that dang good! The chili cheese fries were good too. Nothing fancy but still a nice addition to the burger. Can't go wrong with this place and they open 24 hrs.
This place rules. AMAZING DINER FOOD! Hands down without a doubt one of the best hand dipped chocolate malt shakes I’ve ever had as well, took me back to my childhood! We all enjoyed a decent meal for around $10 bucks too!
Just a great place that kinda off the road some. Excellent service and great food. Was picked while we were wanting something simple but easy to get to. We were leaving I believe Pennway where the ferris wheel is located and this place popped up on our search engine. Definitely recommend to anyone
The late night spot to grab a greasy burger... always a line and always worth the wait. It's a KC classic!
The place was busy and the waitress handled everything so smoothly. She is very clearly, very good at her job. Not sure how many people are on the crushed ice lovers list but they use crushed ice! I had the French Toast and when I tell you it was delicious I mean there was the perfect balance of cri
It's a hole in the wall nestled in downtown Kansas City. The restaurant is a dive by definition but world class in service and food. Grilled items are available. This place gets busy, and it's small, so expect lots of traffic in and out. Not to worry though, the staff is super efficient and the wait
Don't sleep on the Patty Melt on Rye, its the best! Cooked to perfection and I speak for the whole Crossroads area WE love Nancy! Familiar faces make you feel at home! Thank you for being 24/7 and keeping the service amazing!
Excellent experience! Cheeseburger and patty melt were delicious! A must try!
