Blue Nile Cafe - Kansas City - Photo album

When I find myself thinking “I’d really like a meal that actually tastes like something,” this kind of food is exactly what I mean. Blue Nile blends flavors and textures to create some truly excellent dishes. I had the meat combo, including two meats and three veggies all of which were delicious. U
One of the best places I've eaten at in a while! The food was so well made, spiced to perfection and fun to eat! I've never experienced Ethiopian cuisine, and thanks to Blue Nile Cafe, I plan to experience it again and again 💯💙 We tried the vegetarian sampler platter, a toddy coffee and a spiced ice
Food was amazing! Highly recommend the sampler platter if it’s your first time! Then you get to try a little bit of a bunch of different foods. The people that work there are so nice and helpful. Very knowledgeable about the food as well.
Convenient location for downtown or Ciy Market visitors. You probably will have to pay to park on the street, though. Enjoyable for outdoor seating and people/trolley watching. The inside decor is unique and enjoyable! Service is attentive and pleasant—but they don’t bring utensils unless you ask s
Our server was outstanding, and we very much enjoyed the food. It takes awhile to get the hang of picking up food with the provided bread (which is like a spongy tortilla), and eventually I had to give up and ask for a fork. The Ethiopian beer was tasty.
Overall, this place gets 4 and a half stars. The sampler platter and the veggie sambusa was great. I wished the injera was a little more sour/fermented since it’s more authentic that way. Beware that ordering extra injera comes at a hidden charge of $1.95 for four rolls not mentioned on the menu, so
One of my favorite KC restaurants. Get the sampler, it's a great deal and let's you try a little bit of everything. It's the one place I enjoy the vegetarian options more. The chai is wonderful or try an Ethiopian coffee ceremony with friends.
We ate at the place on a whim. We love Ethiopian food, however, because we were from out of town, we did not expect to see an Ethiopian restaurant in Kansas. So our expectations were high because of places from back at home. However, we did not know what to expect. But we were pleasantly surprised t
One of the best meals I've ever had. The sambusa appetizer with berbere sauce had amazing flavor and crispy texture. We ordered one of the combination plates with 8 different veggie and 3 different meat dishes served in a giant tray with the injera flatbread. The flavors on Eveything were excellent
This was more than dining, it was an experience! I recommend the sampler plates because there is simply too much to try & everything tastes so unique & incredible! The portions are HUGE so come hungry! Even the drinks are delicious, I'd recommend the mango juice or the ginger. Very inviting atmosphe
