Food was awesome and pretty reasonably priced, really cool decor also. There can be a wait as it’s a popular restaurant and space within is limited, it is definitely authentic Japanese cuisine and being able to speak Japanese is a plus. Only took a star off because our server was pretty curt and hovered a bit too much.

I’ve gone a few times since they opened at windward mall, I primarily do takeout. I got a great piece of miso butterfish today. Omg. Service is always good. Food is ready within a reasonable time. Prices are in line with the other restaurants in the area. Didn’t take pictures because I ate it too fast.

Cute hole-in-the-wall Japanese restaurant in an industrial-ish area of Kaneohe. Have always had a good experience here with very helpful and friendly staff to delicious local-style Japanese food. On my last visit during lunch, I was hoping for more Teishoku options with sashimi, but the lunch menu only had two choices. The waitress brought the dinner special menu and said I could pick from there. Gotta love when they go the extra mile like that to make their customers happy.

Kiku-ya in the Windward Mall is excellent. The food is good, the service is great. They've moved from their earlier location that had almost no parking to the mall, which has plenty. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience. The butterfish is probably the best we had in the very long time and the teriyaki beef was delicious.

I think what I liked most about this place was the customer service. Staff were friendly and nice! The location is excellent with easy parking. The portion of the food was amazing!! Presentation is good as well! Of course it’s not like the real Japanese restaurants in Japan but they were good enough! Price was within the normal range.

Enjoyed the sukiyaki here. Came out piping hot which it should so that was good. Pretty good variety of Japanese comfort food. A little pricey but at this point, I'm just glad small businesses are able to stay open. There was one lady working the floor the whole time we were in there but she was amazing and we never found ourselves waiting too long for food or refills of water.

The butterfish is excellent, the chicken teriyaki is very good. They start you with water and hot tea, the meals are fully coursed, with miso, cabbage salad, with the dinner special sashimi. The meals come with rice, salad, a dipping sauce (shoyu maybe), tempura vegetables, the tempura shrimp is huge, juicy and wonderful. The staff is very friendly. The bathrooms need a little more attention but not bad. This is not a “fancy” place but the food is good and we had no wait on a Saturday afternoon. The prices were very fair ranging from $18-29.

Food is exceptionally good. Priced well and the staff is quite friendly. The portion sizes are generous, so be prepared to ask for a take out box. Parking can be a challenge, but well worth to have to walk a block or so if you cant find a stall in the actual lot. Older furnishings so its not trendy, but for serious foodies, you gotta give them a try.

Had to come to Kaneohe to run an errand with kids . Place didn’t open to 12 so stopped by this place to eat. Nice atmosphere, good food , waitress had an awesome personality , portions were decent size and prices relative to market maybe a bit lower. Will drive to eat here again food was really ono. Cindy was also an awesome server unlike most servers I’ve encountered since covid she actually did her job, did it the right way . Face it service has gone down hill at most places this place AAAA++++
