We loved this place so much we ate here 3 times for our week vacation. Love the hibachi style fish. Never had opah, and was our fave out several:)
The calamari steak is by far the best I’ve had anywhere, period. No one has the same style or the sauce that goes on top so it can’t be matched by anyone. The burgers were very good and the so were the fries. The frozen coconut mojito (Deez Nuts) was bomb. Super cool location as well.

Once again, Buzz’s Kailua did not disappoint. Six of us went to lunch: three of us ordered the scampi salad and two ordered the Jack Daniels burgers. The oddball ordered an Ahi wrap. Lol. Everyone loved their food. We had a lovely gentleman, I think his name is Josh, as our server. And, as always, the atmosphere was lovely. Sitting on the open air, and I across from the beach is inherently peaceful. Btw, I know bringing those pumpkins in and out every day is a lot of work, but they look really cute and festive!
Incredible atmosphere and service. A wonderful reflection of the island mindset in a near perfect location. The burgers are amazing as are the salads. Can’t say enough about the service. These people are helpful and so very friendly.
It's not a bar, it's a mood. Fantastic dining with amazingly flavorful (and strong) drinks and the freshest of exostic fish I've eaten. The steak was good too but fish amazing. You can (kind of) see the ocean but you're steps to the beach so this truly is an easy lifestyle of a dining experience. Make a reservation but our wait on a Sunday peak night was less then 30mins for an outdoor seat.
Really enjoyed the food. Everything we ordered was seasoned perfectly . Our server, she was outstanding, I wish I had remembered her name. Highly recommend this place!
We loved this location so close to the beach. We ate here for lunch, so there were no steaks available. The appetizers and drinks were De-Li-Cious! We ordered a calamari filet, garlic edamame, clam chowder soup, mushrooms, steak fries, teriyaki skewers, and bread. Everything was So good. The flavors were perfect. They all tasted great. The calamari filet was light, fresh, and delectable. I loved the edamame too. The clam chowder was rich and thick. The waitress was very polite and awesomely helpful when it came to helping us order. She assisted with our drinks and food. There isn't much parking available, so be ready to park a block or so down. Everything was also reasonably priced. This was one of my favorite places in Hawaii.
Buzz’s is my go-to spot for a nice, laid-back dinner when in Kailua! I highly recommend you order the bread pudding for dessert - it’s incredible.
Tip: if you’re a fan of the original Magnum PI series, the restaurant has some old photos with the cast on the walls inside!
Favorite haunt and ‘Cheers’ type bar. When available, awesome calamari steak, sashimi, escargot, crab and steaks. Great drinks. Fast, friendly service. Gotta love Buzz’s!
I really like this restaurant! It's close to the beach and has plenty of outdoor seating. Service was exemplary when we were there. Great suggestions and attentive. The food was great for the price point. I would highly recommend trying the calamari and the mai ties. The drinks were great because they weren't too sweet and actually taste the alcohol! Biggest complaint with this restaurant is parking is a nightmare. If you're going during peak times highly recommend making a reservation. Stanley rooster will hang out with you outside until you give in and hand him a french fry.
The only thing I have to say about this place is reservations and a sweater is a must! Otherwise, it's a great experience .. I recommend the surf and turf.. and the deez nutz signature drink cocktail. Aloha!
