Review Uahi Island Grill - Kailua

We had a great meal here. The garlic shrimp and red curry mahi mahi were excellent! We ordered two coconut sangrias and requested them to make it less sweet. The staff totally delivered! We came here in a Sunday if that makes any difference in quality.

We had a late lunch at this restaurant after swimming at Kailua bay. We tried the kailua pork fries appetizer, a sandwich, the ahi katsu cake, and a mix of pork and tuna. Everything was very tasty. We also tried some of their cocktails, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, all very good. The staff was also friendly and the atmosphere was nice. I recommend it!

This was a cool pace not to far from the Beach. The Lychee Lager was light and refreshing. The Kalua Pork fries was ok. The Kalua Pork Sandwich was good. The Irie chicken sandwich was good also. The sweet potato pie was interesting. Sorry no pic 😔must try it though.

2023: Near K- bay Hawaii (3 miles). Drink and app specials 3-6! We had the Irie Jamaican chicken with rice and kimchi as the sides. Rate this a 7/10. The ahi red curry was soft and flavorful. The curry was plentiful so didn’t run out of “juice”. Rate this 9/10. The Mai Tai came in a cool glass and was delicious. Rate it 8/10. The sautéed mushroom appetizer was sprinkled with cheese. And BACON! Yum! 10/10.

We came here for lunch and it was such a great place! The drinks were delicious, the food was amazing, and our waitress was so friendly and helpful. I can't believe I've never been here before and I will be back.

Went to Uahi Island Grill for lunch after a day at the beach in Kailua. Food was good. Entrees were slightly under salted but adjusted with salt, otherwise well cooked. Duck fell off the bone. The pork on the fries app was delicious. The lillikoi cheesecake was very light and tasty while the sweet potato pie was also good but heavier. We got 2 cocktails each. Drinks were underwhelming and service was ok. I would probably recommend it as a good option for Kailua meals.

My family and I tried this place after walking around a nearby farmers market. We ordered the duck confit, poke bowl, garlic chicken, Korean steak and the ahi cake katsu. Overall it was ok. The steak was cooked perfectly. They add sriracha to the macaroni salad and it was a bit too spicy for me.

The food was excellent! We got out good quickly, and the presentation was beautiful. Table service was just okay, but the place was pretty busy. Featured on the Food Network's Diners,, Drive-ins and Dives.

Yummy! Not ridiculously priced and we had good, quick service!

Cute spot with a fun menu. Lunch menu had everything you would need, plenty of adult beverage choices. Breaded shrimp could have been a bit crisper, Korean slaw was delicious, tofu salad was great. Would recommend having coconut milk on hand a s a substitute for dairy milk or cream and perhaps a dairy free chocolate dessert.

Super clean and super friendly. Had something for everyone. The red curry fish is definitely worth it. Out of my comfort zone but really tasty. Great seating and lots of cheap pay parking everywhere!

I nice, cozy atmosphere for an evening out. The menu said the duck confit had been highlighted on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, so I thought I'd give it a try. Was fantastic - one of the best I've had. My friend got the chicken thighs marinated in huli-huli sauce with Jamaican spice and it was also quite good. They serve a great Mai Tai, and some good onion rings as well. Plus a side salad with a delicious dressing that I couldn't quite put my finger on - but I wanted more! Can't wait to go back and try some more items on the menu.

We had a delicious lunch at Uahi! We got the mushroom appetizers which are super delicious with bacon and Parmesan. We also got the Korean sirloin which came with the most tasty garlic aioli sauce! The steak was not the best cut but it had good flavor. The pineapple crunch dessert is incredible. Pa’a was a great server as well. I definitely recommend it.

Stopped here for lunch on our way around Oahu. We had the Garlic Chicken Sandwich and the Kalua Pork with Kale (with Green Papaya Salad). The food was good and the staff were accommodating (my son was able to order a plain cheeseburger). We were able to enjoy our meal on their outside patio.
