Decided to try this place because we were looking for something quick to take home. This was perfect. It's simple cafeteria-style food served in to-go boxes. After a long day in the water or hiking, this was great to pick up and take home for a quick meal. You get a lot of food and it's made quick. I got the Hamburger Steak which comes with white rice and macaroni. It's good, relatively cheap, quick and easy to take-out. Recommend on the way home after a long day!

Big servings at a reasonable price. Our order was taken within a few minutes of arrival and it looked like all was cooked to order — we got a small bbq chicken and a regular bbq mix and everything was ready within 10 minutes. The mini was practically the same size as the regular. They also have an option to order online. There isn’t much atmosphere to the joint, the kitchen is loud, the space is limited, and brightly lit, but the food is good and serves well as takeout. The bbq sauce the meat is cooked in was appetizing, but I would’ve preferred more of it to be able to use with the rice too. If you don’t like mayonnaise, the sides aren’t for you (macaroni salad was heavily coated). In a small-size BBQ chicken meal I got a scoop of rice, scoop of macaroni salad, and three chicken fillets. The large-size BBQ mix came with two scoop of rice, one scoop of macaroni salad, and four fillets/short ribs. There is limited indoor seating, and some outdoor seating in the area. Plenty of parking on the plaza.
So delicious meal. We took beef bowl (9$), honey shrimp (12$) and curry shrimp (12$). It is very nice for the prices !!
We came here two nights in a row lol reasonable prices, quick service, tasty food. If you’re looking for an easy, quick dinner, this is the place.

We had been enjoying the beach, sun and beauty of Kona but not the food.We were staying in a high tourist area and well each meal for a family of five ran into $100. Just crazy paying so much money for average tasting food. We called upon our version of chatgpt aka Google search food near me and we found L and L which was 5 minutes from the resort. The place is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The place is SMALL so if you have 5 in your party like we do, seating was difficult especially with a big belly like mine. We ordered the protein plate and chicken Katsu. Let me tell you the food was prepared quick, hot and with so much flavor. The chicken breading was awesome and not that heavy. The meat on the protein plate tasted like it had been marinated all night. The portions were big and rice was light and fluffy. The meal was like $60Ish which was cheap compared to the other meals. The food was so good we visited again after a day at the volcano. Look as a Texan in Kona, Hawaii, I tell you, go eat here. It's better than the tourist restaurants around the resorts. The local flavor was at hand.
Got into to town late and this was one of a few places still open so decided to give it a try. The pulled pork and Lau Lau were pretty good. Tried the Spam Musubi but I would skip that if I went back. Overall still a decent meal. Enjoy.
The best value for money food you'll find in Kona Hawaii, and possibly at their other franchise locations.
Their portion size is huge! We ordered a regular Katsu Chicken Curry and both of us were full by the time we finished it.
I'll be visiting L&L again during my Hawaii trip and try mini versions of their other popular dishes - like Loco moco, seafood plate etc.
This little shop was fantastic! I am so glad we did not pass it up. Great breakfast. A bed of sticky rice, 2 eggs perfectly cooked, 2 slices of Spam, 3 strips of bacon, and 2 coffees and under $10! Great customer service, remembers customers that are usually there and treats them like family. It is cooked to order but faster than McD's!
We had very tasty, filling Hawaiian plate lunches. Korean pork combo with bbq chicken. Both excellent. I’ve had better mac salad but this was ok. Rice is rice. Two scoops. Very reasonable prices and large portions. We ate at outdoor picnic tables, but most folks took it to go. We would return.
