The food was delicious. The server never brought our onion rings and nobody came to the table to ask how we’d like the check handled. But the unbeatable ocean views more than made up for any service oversight.
Our meal here was fantastic. I got the swordfish chef special which was one of the best meals I've ever had. Out table was next to the walkway and the sound of the ocean made our meal something special. If you are looking for a romantic dinner on your vacation I would recommend stopping in, it's a little expensive but worth it.
The Shrimp Louis Salad was fabulous and the proximity to the beach/ocean was fantastic, the gentle breezes off the ocean cooled us off under the umbrella shades of our table.

Fantastic little hidden gem. Open to the public for Lunch Only.
This spot is "off the beaten path" dining. Located next to both the ocean and an estuary it has possibly one of the best ambience/locations of any restaurant on the Big Island. The food is excellent, the staff is on point and the ambiance is perfect. Easy 5 stars.

We went back and had happy hour bar menu:
Cup of Gazpacho for $12 (was more like a salsa and very small bowl)
Pizza for $12 - great deal and excellent pizza
The desserts are mostly accompanied of made of ice cream which is nice for a hot beachside location. The key lime pie is much like an ice cream pie and is quite sizeable. Crust was crumbly and filling was tart yet creamy. Would order again
Poblano tacos: Meat was excellent and served with a nice little charred corn black bean salad on the side.
Salads were excellent. Fresh and varied with nice dressings. They were willing to sub tofu for the meat that usually accompanies them and it was very well seasoned and prepared.

We had an amazing experience at Residents’ Beach House. The food and drinks were delicious, atmosphere was incredible with views of the sunset, beach, and Maui, and the service was top notch. Can’t wait to go back!

Listen up! You need a reservation, and it is worth it. Impeccable service, mouth watering food, excellent view. Your table is right on the sands to the breaking waves. So spectacular.
