Island Lava Java

We come here every year when we visit the island. This used to be one of our go to places but this year it has slipped a bit. It is still good, just not great. We ordered the Mahi Mahi it was just fish and kind of bla. The recipe they are using for the calamari is way different. They are putting hot spice with it covering the flavor of the calamari. If you like it spicer you will enjoy this. However their Mai Tai is still one of the best on the island. The view is out standing at sunset. Make reservations if you want a great table for the view! Easy parking in the back.

Had a great time enjoying the view while I waited for my food. The food was delicious I got the fiery calamari as a app and catch&chips(catch of the day) as my entire, both were absolutely delicious! My girlfriend also got the L&J steak and frites she said that it tasted fantastic and the steak was cooked great. Our waiter was friendly and helpful, 10/10 would recommend!!!

Lava java is a therapeutic experience. You drown in the ambiance of soft jazz, gentle sea breeze, and a view that takes your breath away. Waitresses like Terri are a gem that sees your taken care of with a smile. The food. Artistic to the eye, sinfully leaves you smiling in heaven. And that is just the breakfast. I can't wait to come back and indulge in the sunset dining experience here. Thank you, Island Lava Java! Also, no stress allowed...🤙🏽

The location boasts stunning ocean views and an inviting atmosphere. The service was both prompt and welcoming. Our meal was delectable, and the coffee mugs are generously sized. The pineapple upside-down French toast proved exceptionally delectable, and the fries were exquisitely seasoned. We're delighted we chose to explore this establishment and definitely plan to visit again.

You absolutely must come! We came here on a recommendation from a friend and now we have a must-return spot when we go to Kona! On 2 visits for brunch this trip, I had the French toast & the "go island style" waffle. The French toast was amazing and definitely worth the trip itself! We also had the fish tacos which were fantastic! Drinks were good and prices were fair, but you absolutely must try their coffee! The best brunch spot in Kona hands down!
