Sushi Shiono - Kailua-Kona - Photo album

Love Sushi Shiono. Have been going here since the first week they opened eons ago. The sushi is top notch. Excellent rolls. Love their Boat for two. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Everything we ate here was full of flavor and very well prepared and balanced. The sake sampler was the perfect way to try a few that we hadn’t had before. The yellow tail collar and miso cod were faves but the toro stole the show. Kind of a strange location but the food is well worth it.
Enjoyable dinner with plenty delicious options. Our server was very attentive and have a good knowledge of Japanese food. Everything was delicious and even better with a cold kirin. My favorite was de Ika and Natto which I don’t think is for everyone but on my taste it was very good, enough to make
Very basic sushi. We had plenty to eat but the quality wasn’t there. $38 for sushi deluxe. None of it fresh, by my estimation. They were pleasant enough. There’s a small outdoor patio where are you can have your dinner, indoor seating as well. Won’t be back.
Very good place to have Japanese food! All was delicious. We had Furikake chicken as appetizer and rolls for main dish: Godzilla and Hawaiian volcano. We had ice cream tempura for dessert. Delicious!
Stumbled upon Sushi Shiono while in Kona and absolutely loved it! The food is fantastic! The service was superb! Everything was fresh and the presentations were excellent! Right when we finished our meal it started to rain. The owner went out of her way and went to the back and brought 3 large trash
We loved this place. I don't know how their rolls are but if you are looking for authentic Japanese food then go here and order several of their appetizers and sashimi. They also have soba noodles and a nice sake sampling with three diffrent sakes. Portions are very decent for the price.
A solid 5 stars for the food and service. These folks are amazing and part of why we look forward to visiting Kona every couple years. Reservations are a good idea, but we've shown up before they open and have been seated right away too. It gets busy quickly. Top notch!
Anytime im craving sashimi and sushi, I come to Shiono's! Absolute favorite place. Fish is always fresh, everything is always good!
Wonderful locals Japanese restaurant. We loved it so much we went back two days later, ran the same order all over again. Very nice staff. Super tasty food and sake. Clean and organized. Great location with an option to sit outside in the shade. Ask for the “seasonings” 🤗 I highly recommend Sushi Sh
Great place for sushi in Kona! We had two different rolls Hawaiian Volcano and the Lobster roll both so very delicious!! The place was so busy, clearly everyone knows this place is a gem!! Thank you!
Great place to get some sushi. We were very lucky to get squeezed in without a reservation, even on a Monday it was busy. As everywhere, the restaurant was understaffed, but despite that service was friendly and relative fast.
Sushi Shiono has excellent sushi chefs. Our rolls were put together well and they tasted great. Appetizer portion size was fairly small but everything else I highly recommend!
Just a standard sushi restaurant with high quality fish. As their sushi was very good, it was nothing to write home about. Our waiter was extremely nice (why this restaurant earns 4 stars, not 3). They have very few Gluten Free options, so keep that in mind if your diet restricts. They have both ind
They didn't bring out the miso soup right away, brought out with sushi. No hot towels. They could turn the tables more if service was better, but maybe not enough staff due to covid. 8 seats at the sushi bar. We were at a table. Everybody seemed to think that the family meals ($80/$90) are a be
