This place deserves 6 stars! It was super reasonably priced, the food was delicious, the service was quick, the people were friendly. I wasn’t sure about it when I saw the single $ for a sushi place, but it’s perfect!
We were seated quickly and received food in about 15 minutes for 5 people. Sashimi and rolls were delicious. I took pictures of mine and my husband's food:
Scallop roll
Sweet Escape Roll
Shimizu Roll
Hawaiian Tuna Nigiri(2pc)
Unagi BBQ Eel
All of the fish tasted fresh and clean and the rolls were perfect.
Got here early at 3:55pm(opens at 4) was able to do a walk in service, the host/server/busser was awesome very friendly and Jerry the sushi bar sushi chef was very friendly too! Talked story small kine. Ordered a chirashi bowl and a 26 piece platter, finished all but 4 pieces of cali and 4 pieces of spicy ahi rolls, i was stuffed!🤣
Paid $99 with tax, had to tip the 20% cause braddah man was a damn good waiter and knew the menu well. Will definitely be coming back for sure!
Great food and service. I had the ak47 and spider rolls, which were fresh and tasty.
The nigiri and sashimi are of good quality, although they do come at a slightly higher price point.
Yummy, friendly, recommend, affordable, fast! Delicious. Came on Thursday night and it was hopping. Had to wait for a bit for a table but it was worth it.
Really tasty, fresh sushi in a strip mall location with clean, but basic decor. Plating is enticing. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff and sushi chefs were friendly and helpful. They close at 7:30 and last call is at 7:10, so plan accordingly. They have some daily specials on the board. Parked in the free lot across from the Farmer's Market location. Really glad we stopped in! Worth a visit.
Really delicious sushi & great prices! My husband and I went here twice for lunch and were impressed with the lunch special pricing and fresh fish. The spicy tuna roll and Alaskan roll are the ones we tried with the cucumber sunomono appetizer. Definitely a must try in Kona!
Pleasantly surprised by the quality of this place! The nigiri sampler, 26 piece combo, akebono roll, Kona gold roll, and Thai stick rolls were phenomenal. The aforementioned rolls were packed with amazing flavors, and, at the chef’s recommendation, were far better off without dipping them into any soy sauce. Some of the most flavorful and unique rolls we’ve had in Kona.
Great (not fancy) place for good, cheap sushi. We got the 30 piece combo and the Train Wreck. Both were great! More than enough for 2 people.
We went at 7:00 PM on a Thursday night and had no wait. There were a few empty tables. Some of the other reviews mention bad or slow service, but that was not our experience. Servers were attentive and the food came out quickly.
