I usually don't say this, but hot damn that was good. Met my friend here and ample parking here for it being the weekend. Sometimes I can be a little picky about my sushi, but my go to is always the Philadelphia roll (salmon, cream cheese, and avocado). I decided to go out on a limb and ask for mine deep fried (sort of like a Las Vegas roll). An intrigued look, then the questions came. I think we can do that, was the response. (I was told that the this would also cook the salmon and was this what I really wanted). It took about 10-12 minutes before a beautifully arranged sushi roll was placed in front of me. The tempura batter, oh. The cream cheese was just soft enough, but not melted. The salmon half baked - cooked on the outside and with just enough texture. My friend got the chicken and broccoli for $14, saying "covering broccoli in a yummy sauce is the only way to to sneak it in and eat it". A steaming mound of chicken and two scoops of rice (double the lunch portion) and he took the rest to go. There was a slight upcharge for getting the roll deep fried ($14 vs. the $12 that it usually is). We felt a little rushed at the end, but had plenty of time to make it to our destination. Very friendly staff. I've been thinking about that sushi roll for hours now...
By far THE BEST sushi I've ever had! Excellent service, and the bathroom was clean too . I would recommend this place hands down!
Good from start to finish. Tuna Tataki appetizer, egg rolls, miso soup, Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian beef, all good with fresh flavors. A nice spot for a great meal away from the boats.
Best sushi. So fresh and exemplary service everytime. Plus the new remodel makes it the hippest restaurant in Juneau! I heard that Drake even ate here once, you know, before he was cool.
Good to satisfy ur Sushi fix.
Great food and service. The place is small, and their menu not large, but what they do they do very well. The mongolian beef, sukiyaki and soups were our three favorites. The sushi is excellent as well. The service is great - the wife/owner/waitress always remembered our order when we came.
YUM. This is a place I will eat at, at least once a month. Its one of the best places in Juneau to eat for your money. The sushi is amazing and the prices are reasonable.
Best sushi of my life. ... I hope they don't disappoint! But I mean it. Hard working, friendly staff. but the water tasted bad.
Best food and best prices in Juneau. I went to Seong's for lunch yesterday and, while the sushi looked fresh and appetizing, I really wanted something hot. I decided to order the almond chicken. At only $8 for lunch, I expected a small serving. What I got was a huge plate of chicken, rice and vegetables. The chicken was tender and flavored just right. The white onion was properly cooked and not too chunky. I appreciated that they use shaved almonds, not whole. And the rice tasted like it had just been cooked and was piping hot. The establishment serves beer and wine, and I like that they have the large bottle of Tsingtao beer. At a pint +, its a deal at $8 a bottle. I would recommend that anyone living in Juneau, or visiting, head for Seong's. It's right across the street from the federal building.
Fantasic!. Great environment! You feel so great when sitting and eating here, the hospitality is amazing. There's photos of happy customers everywhere and the place is always FULL with hungry customers. I eat here when I want great Sushi or Mongolian Beef and want to leave with a smile!
Very good Sushi and Chinese. Seong's Mongolian Beef and Chicken Sukiyoki (hot) are hand's down the best in Juneau. The Sushi overall is usually great but on occasion has been a little off. The Alaska and Taku rolls are however consistently excellent!
Very good food.. We went here intending to eat sushi. We ate from both the Chinese and sushi menus instead and enjoyed both immensely. the mongolian beef was some of the best I've had in a long time. The sushi was very fresh. The price disparity was a little interesting. For 2 orders of nigiri you can get an entire Chinese dish plus. Not sure why the sushi was so much more...
Amaaaaazing sushi. Some of the best I've ever had! We got a sushi combo (nigiri that came with miso soup), a roll, and sashimi, and it was perfect. The rice was perfect, and the fish was sooo fresh. And everything was reasonably priced too. They are reservation only for dine in, but it was thoroughly worth it.
This place has been around a long time and deserves its high reputation among locals. Seong's boasts arguably the best sushi in Juneau.
While some of the dishes have gone down in quality, the udon is delicious, the sushi good, and the staff awesome. Lunch takeout was quick!
My absolute favorite restaurant in Juneau. The Mongolian Beef is the dish for me. I was lucky enough to get to enjoy it twice this trip.
Even after 12 years it's deliciously exactly as I remembered, which made it even better. 😀 Thanks for the best dinner, every time!
I finally made it in for dinner (take out) and WOW, this was the best meal I've had at a restaurant in Juneau. Some of the highest quality sushi I've had outside of Japan (and on par with high end sushi restaurants in Japan). Their red clam sashimi was one of the best and most surprising things I've ever had. Highly highly recommend.

A fixture for decent sushi in Juneau, love the dragon roll and the spider roll, but everything is good. Laid back atmosphere; quick, friendly service. Love taking the fam or friends there for special occasions. #neverendingluau

Best Mongolian beef I've ever had.
Sushi is best in town, hands down.
All of the menu items from the extensive sushi selection to Szechuan beef are excellent, and the staff is fantastic!
