Saffron Indian Cuisine

After dining here a couple of times, I have come to the conclusion that it is my favorite Indian food in all of Juneau. (Honestly, best I've had anywhere) The owner is super nice and added her own spin to popular dishes. If you ask for hot, it will be hot, so if you are white, be careful! The chicken tika is so tender that you can tell the chicken receives special treatments in the back when nobody is looking. Possibly a 24-hour marinate, or who knows, maybe it's been wined and dined before lights out. I would write more, but you all are hungry and found where you need to go, so get to spice... You will thank me later.

Well that was a disaster. Started out alright. Server was friendly and personable. But then the server seemed to forget to put the order in. Took about an hour to get the food. Server then forgot an order of drinks that took a while to fix. Food was fine enough but then server never came back so we had to go up to the counter to ask for the check. She then offered to take our card without showing us the bill. She said it was fine. Insisted on getting the bill to check. Good thing we did because she gave our check to another table and we got their check. They’d already paid so she had to go fix that. 2.5 hours later we finally got the leave which was definitely the best part of the experience.

Yes!! I went there with friends before going out to a party. We each ordered something different and shared. I'm not a food connoisseur but, damn, it looked and tasted legit. Our waiter was kind and helpful. The ambiance made everything work and I will definitely go again and take my Mauritian family when they visit.
