At first, I was skeptical in coming here because I thought it would be one of their highly touristy restaurants that didn't taste much to expectations, but wow I really loved how they flavored their dishes! We tried eating here for dinner, but due to covid, their hours changed to where they close at 5 I believe? In any case, I would call to see if the kitchen is still open. Regardless, we tried here for breakfast and it was again, SO GOOD! They definitely were busy. For myself, I ordered their vegetarian omelet and choose hash brown as my side. I know... veggie omelet doesn't sound very appetizing, but it really was! A bit too much cheese for my liking since there was cheese in the middle and on top. I would just like the cheese on top. And their hash browns were tastefully seasoned with a nice crisp on top! Hopefully once everything's back to normal, I'd love to come back and sit in the restaurant with the lake view. But next time!

The lovely woman who helped us out was amazing! We just came in to get some pie and she was extremely helpful and friendly! I would come back just to chat with her!

Food was good, the lady who served us was super nice. I liked their coffee. I ordered the French toast. 3 large half slices and eggs were good. The only down was the bacon I got was way under cooked.

The food is fantastic, nothing like what I find at Julian. I know many people would think I am bias because I have worked here but I tried Julian and as much as I enjoy Julian Beer Co. And some wineries the food doesn't quite match up to what I have enjoyed here at the lake. The view is phenomenal, day or night, cold, windy, or sunny always a different beautiful view to enjoy. The servers work hard and Delores (the owner) she works the hardest, I have never seen anyone work that hard. She does everything, the pies, the cooking at times, the store, serving, etc. So if you wonder where the cashier is she is probably cooking or serving, and if you wonder why it seems like we don't do much we are all working very hard especially with Covid-19 we take many extra steps to keep the kitchen and restaurant clean and the food healthy. I enjoy the staff even before I worked here, it does get very busy at times, and the food may be delayed because of there being one or two cooks and 20 tickets to cook and the food is made when you order...aka FRESH...takes longer. All the pies are cooked in house, and all the food made fresh. The menu is consistently delicious...rather than a few good things. But if I had to say I would say the customers are amazing, some can get grouchy but we push through, and most of them are respectful and return frequently. I would definitely recommend this place anytime of year...and the weekdays are a little less busy if you don't like to wait. If you are looking for a local, good date place, or just good food for your family or after a long hike this is it.

The hot chocolate was delicious. Love the Apple pie. It is hard to get to the lake because they are charging $10.00 to park in the lot by the lake. There is no appropriate parking on the road.

Lunch was good, I had the chicken pot pie which was delicious. Their Hard Cider "Apple Pie" sweet, 'Razzmataze" sour and my favorite.
