Husband and I are truck drivers. Occasionally while we are down, we get the chance to experience new places and new food of the region. This place is great. Amazing service, my coffee was always topped off. Friendly staff. We tried the candied bacon and WOW; I had to ask for the recipe and they even gave it to me- Dangerous! I had their blueberry thick-cut brioche french toast with cream cheese frosting. The man had a classic breakfast plate with over easy eggs, pancakes, their famous sausage, and hash browns. We each darn near licked our plates clean. Super delicious and we recommend this joint whole-heartedly.

Bob Evan's has been around a long time. Nice clean dinning with good food. We tried this new puff thing they have, it was delicious.
Larenthia was our waitress ... what a nice lady.

Bob Evans in Joliet is awesome, from our waitress Amy to the delicious food.
Our waitress Amy made our first time visit there a complete joy. She has a friendly and inviting personality that was so genuine. She even had the crew sing happy birthday to our mother with desert added.
Plus, the food was amazing. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious and the bill was very reasonable.
Thank you Bob Evans in Joliet. We truly enjoyed our visit and we will be back for sure. :)

Having difficulty finding the time to hit the health club? Go to Bob Evans. Your workout begins with a brisk walk to your table. While you wait for the server to eventually show up you will have plenty of time to clean your table, removing the crud left by the previous diners. You might opt to move to a different and less filthy table (but you may not burn as many calories that way). There were plenty to choose from when my family and I were there. The silverware was heavily encrusted with what I am hoping was only water spots. No worries, more elbow grease and your silverware will soon be as clean as your table. When the server sees you have completed your workout she will swing by and take your order. This is when relaxation quickly turns into frustration. “Sorry we are out of tea. It’s only a few hours before closing and we don’t want to brew any more”. Did you want dinner rolls with your dinner? “Sorry we are out of dinner rolls. It’s only a few hours before closing and we don’t want to make any more.” Given the rather low attendance on a Saturday night I think I’m beginning to understand why it is such a big deal making more of anything. So I settle on whatever nobody else wanted and thus was still available. You now have ample time to work off any frustrations/tensions with yoga, isometric exercises, or your favorite video game on your smart phone. It was over an hour before our food finally arrived. Surprisingly the food was still warn, but not hot. The portions are sized so you needn’t worry about gaining any weight – but then they have always served petite portions. The food tasted alright. Of course by that time I was so hungry I would have gladly eaten crackers and ketchup. Bob Evans advertises free refills on drinks. They don’t mention this requires you to go up to the counter, wait for someone to actually come over, and then asking to please have a refill. I’ve heard walking around after eating (or during, depending on how many refills you would like) helps with the digestive process. I didn’t notice any difference. Perhaps I was too busy thinking about how Taco Bell provides better service and cleaner accommodations. It’s a shame really. Bob Evans used to be so MUCH better. Obviously the management changed. Since then one location after another has been shutting down. Gauging by the staff’s lethargic behavior I’d say they’ve already been told to start looking for another job.

Great Service with no wait time for an early morning Saturday breakfast. The food was ok. Adequate size portion of eggs, hash browns & bacon. Asked for over medium eggs, they were definitely over easy. The bacon was fatty & under cooked.

We eat in and carry out. Very disappointed this time. If you order a meal for carry out, one would think there should be the same portions. The county fried steak meal is a favorite. We received a very small portion of gravy and the green beans looked liked a gross mix of old and new. No rolls were included, although they were ordered. I highly doubt those would have been served in house. I feel like a less important customer when ordering carry out than a face a table is treated. My money is the same, I deserve the same either way. It's doubtful that we will use Bob Evans as a carry out option again.
